Bruckheim is not only a top defense attorney in Maryland, but he really knows every inch of the system and litigation process. The first time meeting with Bruckheim, he took the time to explain every thing about my case along with letting me know what I should do prior to trial. Running a few minute...s behind his next clients time slot, he continued to prepare me and answered all of my questions, always asking me if there is anything else I would like to know or if there is something I need to understand better. Providing me with every possible detail while helping me understand the charges on my citation, he suggested prior trial tasks that I should go ahead and complete. Within the next week, I was given tasks with directions that were easily assessable. Considering, I was an out of state resident of where my accident took place, he gave me very useful information in relation to my residence. Bruckheim was always responsive to any texts/calls I had regards to my case, along with always answering all my questions in a timely manner. He took the time, the day of court, to run through the paperwork while double checking my paperwork to make sure everything was correct before I signed it after my trial, along with directing me to where I needed to go to take care of my paperwork/fine. I consulted Michael but went with someone else with a slightly stronger criminal defense record, simply because Michael seems to specialize in DUI's and that's not what I was facing. It was a tough decision and I genuinely felt bad about it; he's a great guy who knows his stuff and is generous with h...is time. Definitely the most pleasant attorney I've ever met. If I was choosing based on personalities I would have gone with him, and I'm sure he would've gotten a positive outcome but I was facing hefty charges and had to be absolutely sure. Mr. Bruckheim is an EXCELLENT attorney and I highly recommend him. He was able to get my charge bumped to a much lesser one which carried no permanent marks on my record and no points on my license (this was very important to me for insurance purposes). He negotiated a plea deal that was very favorab...le for me and advised me to take steps along the way that really strengthened my case. Even my fine was on the lower end of the spectrum. In DC (where he represented me), he is very knowledgeable of the system, the judges, and the prosecutors. This is important because he was able to use this knowledge to negotiate the best deal. Because of his high level of professionalism and great relationship with the clerks, he was even able to expedite my case to the front of the docket so that I could get out of the courtroom quickly. I received my first DUI and I called around to many different lawyers before I found Michael. Many lawyers quoted me either ridiculous prices or seemed to avoid all of my questions on the phone. Let me just say that because this was my first run in with the law I had a ridiculous amount of questions ...but Michael took the time to answer ALL of them thoroughly one by one. I called his office and was able to speak to him within minutes. He is very personable and makes you feel at ease. He is extremely quick at responding to your calls/texts and even called me to update me on my case while he was sitting on the beach during his vacation!
