Susan is very unresponsive and lazy. I witnessed her waste countless of her clients hours and give many false promises. She never seemed interested in the case and it really showed in her actions. It is sad really, because she turned an already somewhat bad situation and made it worse. I would recomm...end looking elsewhere for your custody needs.

I hired Susan for my custody case. She started off great and would suggest/require certain things from me and I would complete/provide them. As time progressed, Susan became very lazy and uninterested in my case. She would miss phone calls and emails and ask me to provide her with something that I ha...d already given her weeks ago. We had our trial coming up and she wanted me to settle the case with an unfavorable outcome on my end. I felt I had no choice and decided to settle, when we got to court I had second thoughts and told her I want to go to trial instead of settling. Well she didn’t bring any of the evidence that she bragged took up multiple bins (it was collecting dust in her office). Susan cried to me in the court house, admitting that she did not give me her all and assured me that we will appeal the decision and come back strong. So appeal the decision is what we did that same day. Now ready for the second trial, she again requested me to provide her with evidence and everything I had, we are talking nasty voice recordings, photos, arrest records, witnesses, etc... I provided her with my witness list at least three times, so she could prepare the subpoenas. Fast forward to hearing the trial date, she hasn’t sent out the subpoenas, so I take off of work to try and do it myself without success. I was furious and contacted Susan the Friday before our Monday trial, she had the audacity to tell me to fire her. With all odds against me, she kept pressuring me to settle again for an unfavorable decision on my end, which was the same decision as the first settlement. She wasted plenty of my time and money to do absolutely nothing. She will schedule things and cancel last minute and is always sick. Oh and if it is raining out, it is a guarantee that she will be sick and cancel anything she has scheduled with you. She is a complete joke of a lawyer and embarrassed me in court. Please avoid her and please read the other negative reviews on her.

My husband and I hired Susan for a custody situation we were facing. At all points along the way, we found Susan to be knowledgeable in all facets of the law pertaining to our situation. Despite the fact that we know Susan had multiple cases at the time, we always felt as though she was working sol...ely with us. We could say Susan "acted" as though she cared about us and our situation, but the truth is, we honestly believe she truly does care about her clients - with Susan, it is not an act; she has a vested interest in her clients. We cannot say enough good things about Susan. If you are in need of a lawyer for a custody situation, and you want a knowledgeable, hard working, caring, and fiscally responsible attorney, we highly recommend Susan.
