EXCEPTIONAL OUTCOMES

I was referred to Mr. Favors by a trusted friend that guaranteed I would be completely satisfied with his services. I was not disappointed, Mr. Favors and his team were notably professional and worked diligently to resolve my legal issues, thoroughly communicating steps, processes and expectations. H...uge shout out to JAKE for always responding to my emails and phone calls timely and with all of my inquiries answered! I would highly recommend Reshad Favors for EXCEPTIONAL outcomes!

Formal Complaint of Discrimination

I hired Mr. Favors to represent me regarding an informal complaint of discrimination filed against my employer. I could not be more pleased with Mr. Favors' representation of my case. He was very prompt in communicating with my employer regarding my complaint of discrimination, and was very profess...ional throughout those communications. Mr. Favors was very knowledgeable with the complaint process, kept me informed throughout the process, and was very prompt in responding to my employer's responses. Although I've since retired from federal government service since the initial filing of my complaint, Mr. Favors continued to address my issues with my agency. As a result of the coronavirus pandemic, I was able to telework for the last nine months of my employment, relieving me of the stress and headaches of going into my workplace on a daily basis and working in a toxic and hostile work environment. I will certainly recommend Mr. Favors to anyone that I come in contact with who seeks legal council regarding workplace discrimination.

Very Knowledgeable, Thorough, and Efficient

I reached out to Reshad regarding an employment matter. Within 24 hours he responded to my inquiry and within a week he reached an acceptable settlement agreement between myself and my previous employer. All questions that were asked were answered. I would definitely recommend Reshad for any legal ne...eds.

Disappointing

I hired Reshad Favors to help me with a disability complaint. Unfortunately, there were several issues with this attorney. I will list a few of them. 1. Very little actual work done - I wrote the initial information and the investigator wrote the charges. 2. He withheld important information like... his vacation out of the country. He went out of the country and was frequently unavailable days before my mediation. 3. He was not punctual. I waited for him for over an hour on our first meeting and he was late to mediation. 4. He was unprepared at mediation. He provided misinformation that I had to correct. He was given all the information beforehand, but did not seem to have read it. 5. He refused to answer direct questions. I have asked him the same question on more than one occasion. Each time, it is ignored. 6. It was confusing at times to know who he was representing. He knew there was an issue with the agreement and he defended the opposing attorney. What is most disappointing about my experience with Reshad is rather than being honest with me about the issues, he sent me a "closing" letter without providing me any information about the on-going issue.

Disappointing

My experience working with Reshad D. Favors, Esq. of Purely Legal/ Burns Sheppard Favors PLLC/ BSFLegal/ Mosaic Law Firm PLLC.: •Unresponsive to calls/emails •Disappearances •Unprepared/ late arrival to Mediation •Poor communication (lack of follow-up, grammar/spelling errors) •Poor listening/co...mprehension skills – has his own mission, not interested in what his client is seeking. •Poor Negotiation skills •Dishonest I am a HR Leader that handles employee relations/discrimination complaints for my company, with an in-house attorney. I hired Reshad to represent me because it would be awkward ,as a HR leader, to represent myself and still do my day-to-day job. He charged $5,000 to represent me in the EEOC Charge. I communicated to him that I expected to receive a return of my $5,000 with any settlement. On July 9th I signed the service agreement, paid the fee, and sent him a background statement, timeline supporting documents. He immediately disappeared for 2 weeks. No response to the information/emails. After several follow-up calls, he drafted a Demand Letter to send to my company (on August 1st), mostly a cut and paste of my background statement. I gave him the ok to proceed and asked him to prepare the Charge. Reshad disappeared again. After several calls/emails, Reshad emerged 2 weeks later advising he is out of the country with limited email/phone. He couldn’t confirm if/when the demand letter was sent, but agreed to work on the EEOC filing. A day later, he sent me a draft FULL of grammatical and spelling errors. I edited the document, to be presentable for EEOC filing. We filed on August 31st. Early October my employer agreed to EEOC mediation. Reshad sent me a list of possible mediation dates. I sent him the dates that worked for me and didn’t hear back from him. At the end of October, I reminded him that he had not confirmed the mediation date. He finally gave me a date, time, and address. I provided him with final copy of my opening statement and prepared for mediation in late November. Reshad arrived to the mediation 15 minutes late. We all waited for Reshad. When he arrived, he didn’t know where to go, he didn’t know the mediator’s name which only added to his delay. When we had a private moment, I asked him why he was late. He didn’t have a response. I read my prepared statement, my employer responded with their statement. During their statement, Reshad wrote notes and slid me questions that were clearly already answered/addressed in my opening statement. It seems, he didn’t read my statement in advance/didn’t pay attention to me when I read it aloud. The mediator commented on his lack of preparation, he didn't provide her with information in advance and poorly handled the negotiation. I was disappointed/embarrassed. Early January I agreed to leave the company with severance dollars, other promises, and attorney’s fees that Reshad proposed. My settlement was on the low end of the range, my company usually settles for. When the company sent us the actual typed agreement, the attorney had (mistakenly or purposely) entered the wrong dollar figures. Reshad suggested that we sign, with out verifying/calculating the numbers. I had to tell him several times, and even sent him a spreadsheet showing, that the calculation was wrong. He clearly just wanted to settle. I asked Reshad if his proposed attorney fees included return of my $5,000. He said I would be “reimbursed with any overages, once my final bill was calculated”. I resigned/signed the corrected the agreement. Reshad's Firm promptly mailed me a check for the severance amount sent by my employer. The envelope/check had a large grease stain on it (maybe food) with a letter calling this matter "closed". I sent Reshad an email, thanking him for his assistance, asking about my final bill ($5,000), and advising I had not received an item that the employer promised. Again Reshad has been unresponsive. I had to follow-up with the employer directly.
