Sue Huhta is my Hero

I engaged Sue to represent me in an employment dispute and could not have been more pleased and satisfied with her work. She knows this field of law inside and out, but that is true for plenty of employment lawyers. What makes Sue stand out so exceptionally in my view is that she keeps a very clear...-eyed and rational view of the client's entire interest: not just the legal issues at play, but also how the matter will impact the client's well-being and ability to move forward. For example, at just the right moments Sue encouraged me to weigh carefully the benefits of settling my case vs. the risks, time it would take, and the ongoing psychic and emotional burdens of continuing to press on in litigation. Because Sue was working on the basis of an hourly fee and NOT on a contingency fee, settling the matter early as opposed to pressing forward clearly would result in less fees for Sue. Nevertheless, there is absolutely no doubt that this factor never entered into the advice and guidance Sue gave me. It was clear to me right from the start that she always had my interest first--and exclusively--in mind. The other quality I admire about Sue and was so grateful for is that she is a fighter in the positive sense. She will not be bullied by the size of a company or organization nor by opposing counsel. She projects confidence and competence, but also can work constructively with opposing counsel to resolve matters. As mentioned above, Sue worked on my matter on an hourly fee basis. Her hourly fee is in line with her position as a partner in a leading employment firm, which could strike potential clients as high. But my experience was that the total of the fees I paid to Sue and her firm represented approximately 8% of the before-tax settlement amount I received from my former employer in this matter. I thought that was very reasonable and I was extremely satisfied. In sum, I highly recommend Sue Huhta and feel incredibly fortunate that she was recommended to me by a friend and that I engaged her to represent me.

Absolutely Amazing

Mrs. Huhta assisted me with an employment issue concerning promotion discrimination with my employer. I found her to be a detail oriented professional, with a no nonsense and highly organized style. Not only was she knowledgeable and confident, she cared about my well-being. She was honest and kept m...e informed thoughout the process. Sue is a great listener and she is always willing to offer options with her advice and possible outcomes. I am pleased with the outcome and I am grateful for her hard work and continued support. Sue literally changed my perspective on life. She is a wonderful and competent attorney but more important, she is a WONDERFUL person that cares about people.

She kept me informed throughout the negotiation process, and I especially appreciated her personable approach and couns...eling.

Vice President/Managing Director

Sue is amazing. I would highly recommend her for her subject matter knowledge and expertise. My first consultation with her was a 2.5 hour telephone call where she listened to the entire story. At the end, she told me she only takes on about 10% of the cases presented to her because she has to bel...ieve there is a worthy case. Sue walked me through every step of the process and was immensely strong and supportive the entire time. She provided me with needed strength. She is senior-level and tried to reduce costs wherever necessary by instructing me how to write up documentation of the situation and would edit at the end. Sue was able to get me the best possible outcome for my case, advising me along the way. I have referred many peers to Sue over the past few years because she is so good, and recently hired her to review some new hire documents for a new job opportunity and again, she was fantastic. Above and beyond, Sue has an outrageously great sense of humor and storytelling ability, which helped tremendously during my difficult time at work! Sue came highly recommended to me and is the best at what she does!!!
