Mr. R. Scott Oswald, Mr. Nick Woodfield, and the Employment Law Group successfully represented me in a five year whistleblower/employment case against my employer, a U.S. Government Agency. Attorneys are like physicians in that when you need a specialist, you want the best. The ELG may be expensive, but I have found that you get what you pay for when it comes to representation. Our case took five years to litigate against the Agency and the Merit Systems Protection Board. Ultimately, my case went before the U.S. Federal Circuit Court of Appeals and we won a precedent setting decision. Scott reviewed my case initially. He told me at the time, "this case is going to be difficult, but we can win it….are you ready to go all the way?". His evaluation was 100% correct. My Agency (and the MSPB) fought us every step of the way, but thanks to Scott, Nick, and the ELG, we prevailed. When I first arrived at the ELG, I was beaten down and despondent. Scott, Max Masinter, and the ELG team listened to my story, picked out the relevant issues, developed an action plan, and gave me the strength to keep fighting. I really indebted to them for saving my job and giving me my life back. I would recommend them without hesitation.

If only all attorneys were as professional, knowledgeable, caring and honest
Scott Oswald handled two cases for me and I cannot say enough about how much I appreciate his hard work and support. I lost the first case due to a technicality that Scott and his team had warned me about prior to taking the case but he did not let that deter him. He pressed on at my request and won the second case with pride. All through the preparation and investigation into the facts of the case, Scott maintained the utmost of professionalism. He exhibited an impressive knowledge base as he won my case against a large pharmaceutical company, and his actions spoke volumes about his character when he helped me arrange the financial support to see the case through to completion. Turned a terrible experience into one of the best experiences of my life
Mr. Oswald took my case to trial against a large pharmaceutical company. Only Mr. Oswald could have presented my case as expertly as he did. The depth of his preparation was astonishing – he literally knew my case (what had really happened to me) better than did I, who of course had lived through all its precipitating events. He proved himself an expert strategist and tactician, framing the case in a way that a jury could readily understand, and testing his theories with focus groups and other advanced methods. Using skills he learned from studying with the legendary Gerry Spence, he delivered opening and closing statements, and conducted direct and cross-examinations, with consummate skill, keeping to the detailed trial plan he had prepared, but responding to new situations that arose. The decision to fight for my rights against a powerful corporation was the hardest of my life. Mr. Oswald supported that decision every step of the way, caring not only about the case but also about me as a person. As difficult as this litigation was, working with him and his colleagues was one of the best experiences of my life.

The Best Lawyer
Scott represented me in a discrimination case. He was thoughtful, prepared, and so knowledgeable on what needed to be done. He stuck with the case through the pandemic and through defense stalling until we finally got to trial. At trial, he was 2 steps ahead of the defense every day, worked until late in the evening to be prepared. He also used technology to strengthen his presentations and examinations, and in general was all I could ever ask for in an attorney. And he ultimately won the case for me. I would recommend Scott to anyone seeking help with a termination either because of discrimination or any other illegal reason.

Complex, Wrongful Termination
I was referred to Mr. Scott Oswald by another legal professional who maintains a very high regard for his firm's work. My experience was excellent considering the circumstances and the overall complexity of my case. Whistleblower & Wrongful Termination Case
I was recently (from 2015 to 2019) involved in a very publicized Qui tam/whistleblower case as a "Relator" for and with the U.S. Government. I was represented by Scott and TELG as my primary counsel. Throughout the lengthy process, Scott and the TELG team were exceptional. I was kept informed as every major milestone came to fruition and Scott and his colleagues were always readily available to answer questions and provide appropriate insights and perspectives relevant to the case. Even more importantly than their outstanding client relationship management is their legal acumen and expertise. This is a well experienced and highly proficient team of legal experts, and Scott is at the forefront of it. And the results speak for themselves. The government received a triple digit millions recovery in the civil suit and we received a double digit millions relator's share award. Wrongful Termination from Federal Agency
It is with great joy and pleasure that I write this review for Mr. Scott Oswald, as well as the entire TELG team. Scott Oswald- immigration case
Scott is an amazing lawyer, that works with you in such a kind manner. We had no hope in my moms case but he gave us hope. No matter what case he always has more than one option or route to go with it. He never gives up. I have never meet such a lawyer that is so invested in his clients. He makes the clients problems as if they were his own problems, and he works at it and gives it his very best and never gives up. Even if we are feeling scared he always assured us that everything would be okay. Scott was one of the best choices we made when picking a lawyer.

The Send Key
There were two times in my life where as I pushed the "send key" on my computer keyboard it frightened me. The first time was at work after I drafted an email to the owner that I strongly felt our company was not in compliance with the law, (and here's the scary part, that I would not be a party to this behavior). The second time was sitting at home, after being terminated, and prepairing to consult an attorney at the website of R.Scott Oswald and his team. At that moment "pushing the send key" meant I was entering into a frighting world of money spent, threats and retribution from my former employer,and worst of all stepping into the unknown world of legal battles. I pushed the "send key" anyway…. The moment I spoke with Mr.Oswald I felt a powerful sense of relief. And over the next 11 months Mr Oswald's team painstakingly sifted through the facts of my situation and prepared a bulletproof case. In the end the issue was resolved. A few thoughts on R. Scott Oswald
I recently consulted with Scott Oswald on an employment discrimination case and was very impressed. As an attorney myself, I had thought I missed an all-important SOL deadline and was out of luck. Not only did Scott do a very good job of hand-holding and comforting me ("We've all been there"), but he also pointed me to another statute that offered the same remedies for my client without the same draconian SOL limitations. And he explained and clarified much more beside all that. I am very grateful that I called him. He knows his law and explains it clearly. We contacted, consulted with, and hired R. Scott Oswald to represent us for False Claim Act and Retaliation. Mr. Oswald is an excellent trial attorney with an extensive knowledge in whistleblower protection, qui tam, wrongful discharge, and employment discrimination. Our case was tried in court and resulted in the jury finding in our favor. During trial, he was absolutely incredible in framing the evidence, and drawing the attention of each juror to the relative facts. Our case was long, complicated, and discouraging at times. Good outcome, good value.
I recently engaged The Employment Law Group to assist me in gaining a satisfactory arrangement regarding my forced early retirement from my firm, a large professional organization. I was being pushed out the door at 59 and a half. Given the unlikely chance that I would ever regain even 1/3 of my annual earnings, I sought a fair deal. Scott Oswald and TEGL helped me achieve that. Scott’s team exhibited great perspective and counsel, and always worked efficiently. Expert in dealing with large Firms!
Scott is a compassionate and talented lawyer who has obviously found his calling in life. He helped me and my family through a difficult encounter with a large Firm with issues centered around the discrimination of military personnel in the workplace and specifically involving treatment of individuals suffering from Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD).
