Richard was my son lawyer and he made good with his promises. Richard was honest and upfront from the start. Richard did not make promises that he would save my son from his "stupid" mistake he did promise he would do his best to keep my son out of jail and he did. My son and I are truly grateful for Richards knowledge of the law. My son ended up with probation and I could not be more pleased with Richard help in this case. I would referral anyone with legal issues to Richard.

For over a decade I have been stuck on probation because Richard lied to me. Richard Daubenberger fooled me with his upbeat charm and promises. I don't want to waste too much energy on this evil man who blatantly lied to me to take a deal, but I feel it is my responsible duty as a citizen to make my peers aware of what happened to me for his $10,000 retainer.
Long story short- I was innocent and would have went to trial to prove my innocence but Richard talked me into taking a deal because he was "96% sure" he could get me off of all charges but if just a couple charges stuck I would have done more time then the deal offering. The suspicious part is he told me all along I had nothing to worry about and not to lose a night rest over my case. Knowing I was innocent, I didn't lose a nights rests.
When the first 2 deal offers came he told me as he had too but he also advised that I not take deal and tell the DA to shove it. Then it was getting down wire and the third deal came and was going to expire; this is when I got a call from him to come in. I went into his office without a fear in the world and he is telling me I have to take the deal. I was shocked as my stomach fell to the floor. I said "no way" because that is not what he was telling me all along.
With all the fear he instilled in me that day, I felt like he was my friend and lifeline and I had to listen to him- I was young and naive. He told me the deal was the best way to go because it was going to be minimal jail time, followed by 2 years probation and then I would be a free man with a personal judgement against my credit for the restitution---- THIS WAS A COMPLETE LIE
After several hours of being in his office that day, being told all sorts of information that was the complete opposite of what he was telling me the prior months leading up to this day, he also told me that we had to go to the courthouse that day and sign the deal because the DA, Gregory Hurchella was leaving on vacation and the deal was expiring the following day.
I took the deal, did the time, did the parole and probation and at this point a few years had passed and I thought this was all behind me; It was 1 week until my sentence expiration and I was going to be a free man when the call came from Delaware County telling me I had to come in to be re-violated because of restitutions. I told them that there was a mistake because my attorney told me after my probation, the restitution was going to turn into a personal judgement and I was going to be a free man. I owed almost $100,000 in restitution so by no means would I have ever taken a deal if he would of been honest with me and told me that my probation was going to continue forever until the restitution was paid. Of course I called him after I got the call from Delaware County and he pretty much laughed at me over the phone and hung up. I followed up with an email and his response was "if you contact me anymore, I will have a restraining order placed on you" WOW
I don't know how Rich can sleep well at night knowing a decent family guy like myself, is still stuck on probation almost 15 years later. Knowing I can not get off probation because of this restitution. If I would have just known the truth, I would have left our consultation that day with accurate information and put the $10,000 in life savings towards my restitution and hired an average attorney but I didn't, because Rich saw an opportunity to make some easy money, sweet talker and lied to me. I went along with it all because I thought he truly cared.

We all know the story about a young guy that does stupid things (that's me!)...well those drug charges could have sent me to state prison for just marijuana! Thankfully, I hired Rich. It was clear he knew everyone and knew the process. I walked right out of the charges and on to a smarter life....not in prison! Thanks Rich...I owe you everything!

I am 19 years old and stupidly got a DUI. It is the first and last time I will be "young and dumb". At the time I thought that life was over (as we young people tend to exaggerate). However, Mr. D. calmed me with his confidence. To make a long story short, he wound up getting my record expunged and I never went to jail (phew). Thanks Mr. D!

Very unhappy- I PAID you for your legal advise and you did not even bother to help with my case nor made any efforts to help. YOU came HIGHLY recommended and failed to live up to expectations.

I recently blew a stop sign while on the shoulder in a school zone! Big oops! I hired Mr. Daubenberger to handle my traffic tickets. I was worried that traffic tickets might be at the bottom of the lawyer's list but Mr. Daubenberger made me feel like my case was the most important case in the world. He was confident and got me a great result. No points and no suspension and only a $25 fine. Thanks Rich!

Back in 2006, I was arrested for DUI in West Chester. Stupid decision and I am glad I have not repeated it since then. Rich put me in a position to be able to learn from my mistake without having its consequences be detrimental to my personal or professional life. I am grateful for his assistance throughout. Good guy and an excellent attorney.

Leave review for Rich in AVVO
In 2005, I hired Rich and had him retained for a $10k fee. After he heard my alleged "Securities Fraud", he told me not to lose a night of sleep. As the months past he only reported good news but made me aware of the deals that the District Attorney was offering, because he had too by law. I still remember to this day, when he called me and reported he received the discovery from my former Securities Attorney and "we were going to hit this one out of the park"
A day before the deal expired, Rich called me into his office and told me I had to take the deal- this was the last thing I ever expected and it contradicted everything he ever told me.
Within hours of not knowing where to turn, he said I would "stay at county jail for 24 hrs then be transferred to state prison. You will wait up state prison for a couple weeks while a platoon opens up then do 6 months of bootcamp and be home by Thanksgiving".
He continued to tell me that I had to take the deal that day because the DA was leaving on vacation later that evening.
Rich told me that this deal would put me in the best physical shape of my life and when I got out, I would be on probation for 2 years then this would all be behind me. He said my large restitution would become a personal judgement and I could move on with my life.
This was the furthest thing from the truth and I regret the day I allowed Richard to talk me into this $10k deal, under pressure, that ultimately I could of applied towards my restitution.
First off, I never got home by Thanksgiving, infact I didn't get home until March the following year, but this fact I could live with. After flawlessly completing my sentence I am still on probation to date with Delaware County (2014) continuing to hinder my life monthly.
Delaware County told me that they would be violating me every 2 years and keep me on probation the rest of my life until my restitution was paid. This was not the deal Richard C. Daubenberger promised me. Who would take a deal that essentially would turn into a life sentence for $10K fee? Nobody
I called Richard when I was a week before my 5 year max to tell him this must be a mistake. He actually laughed at me on the phone and told me I cannot get off probation until I pay my restitution; how cocky he was and how stupid I felt. When he laughed at me and said that my heart dropped and I was speechless.
I wish he would of been honest with me so I could of made the appropriate decision. I would of spent the 10k towards my restitution so I have a chance of getting off sooner and not listened to his LIES at his consultation before you got my retainer.
This is man is cocky, arrogant, thinks he is better then most and has absolutely no integrity- he just wanted my money!!! Talk about adding insult to injury- I feel like Richard really kicked me when I was down

I had a drug and DUI case. While I know he handles a lot of drug cases, Rich made me feel like my case was the most important case in the world to him. I thank him for always being available and for doing a fantatic job.

I hired Rich for a DUI and was in a terrible situation. Not only did he make me feel at ease, but he was quick, responsive and got me the best outcome I could have hoped for. He helped me turn everything around.
