Competent, Calm, Passionate, Emphatic, very professional. Connie will get the best results!
I don’t wish anybody to go through a divorce but if you have to go through one you want Connie on your side. Connie was ideal for me. She is very calm, shows empathy, tries to avoid conflicts as much as possible, she has a great reputation and lots of experience. She also allowed me to handle certain tasks myself and control the outcome but also the costs. I think there are no winners in a divorce but I'm convinced that we achieved the best possible solution.

Excellent Attorney
I switched attorney and went with Connie Merwine after extensive calls to different law offices in Monroe County. When I had my consult, Attorney Merwine was very direct and straight to the point. She listened to my dismay, my issues and what I wanted. Due to an emergency situation I retained her for custody modification. From the 2 paralegals that assist her (Briana and Maritza), email and phone call responses and the day of representation, they were all professional, understanding and most importantly realistic. Follow ups, questions and phone calls were answered, they made me feel we could do this and in the end I couldn't be happier with the outcome. I truly would tell anyone if you have any family court issues that Attorney Merwine is the one to hire and know she will represent you to the best!

Best Divorce Attorney in Monroe County
My wife filed for divorce after 39 years of marriage and took me totally by surprise. I found Attorney Connie Merwine after doing my due diligence to select the best attorney in Monroe County that I could afford to represent me. Hiring her turned out to be the best decision I could have made. She is knowledgeable, thorough and professional. She helped me take immediate steps early on that provided damage control for what was to come. In hearings, she was much more prepared and effective than my ex-wife's attorney. The divorce took 2 years and 11 months to resolve and was the most miserable experience I have ever been through. I cannot imagine going through it without the guidance, assistance and counsel provided by Attorney Merwine and her excellent staff.

Highly Knowledgeable
I was devastated when my mom passed away and Attorney Merwine was there to guide me through the probate process from start to finish. She was very professional, made me aware of the various deadlines we would need to meet, and followed up on phone calls for me when I was weak with grief. Attorney Merwine took time to explain what parts of Pennsylvania law were going to be involved in my particular situation and went beyond what was expected, to be sure I’m legally protected. Her knowledge of accounting is superior. I respect and admire her immensely.

Child Custody
After a two year battle with a attorney who did nothing for us, we went to see Connie. jShe was very helpful, professional and knowledgeable. She told us from the start it was a battle , and what we needed to do, learn and listen. She was very knowledgeable, and communicated with both of us on all matters. You couldn't get a better lawyer any where else. She always made time to listen to us and never refused to see us even at the last minute. She helped us and I will always use her for all my legal matters. Thank you so very much Connie.

Integrity Beats Smoke & Mirrors
My situation was rather desperate, and I don't mean to say it was smooth sailing after I hired Connie. Opposing was very aggressive with accusations that were often inflated if not totally false. It was harrowing and Connie and I didn't always agree on a path forward. However, because of the way Connie handled things, the attacks from the other side ended up costing my ex way more than it cost me. I didn't get everything I wanted, but I came out of it way better than my former wife. There were times when I thought Connie had too much integrity and that her ethics were leading me to slaughter when considering the tactics of opposing. However, hindsight being 20-20 vision, I can now look back and see that the respect Connie has in the legal community won out over smoke & mirrors. Connie didn't come cheap, but then again the most expensive attorney is the one who strings you along, tries to impress you with bluster, runs up the bill, and doesn't get the job done efficiently. A genuinely great lawyer knows the law and doesn't need to play games. They are rare, and Connie is one of them.

Divorce
Attorney Merwine of MHK Attorneys and her associate, Attorney Gaumer, represented me throughout a complicated and protracted marital divorce spanning over two and a half years. They provided expert legal advice and worked diligently to resolve the matter with opposing counsel to ensure I experienced the best outcome possible. They were thoroughly prepared for each consultation and pre-trial hearing throughout the litigation process and negotiated a very favorable settlement for me the day of trial. I would highly recommend them. DAL Blakeslee, Pa

Impeccable divorce attorney.
Attorney Merwine is an extremely knowledgeable and professional lawyer. She is well versed in the law and is always direct and to the point, yet she is also compassionate and concerned for her client's well being. She thoroughly explains all aspects of your case to you, including both positive and negative potential outcomes. She is honest and informative. Some may think her fees are on the higher end but she is worth every penny. Her professionalism in both the courtroom and the office is a valuable asset. She is well respected by her peers and by the employees at the courthouse and the domestic relations office. In fact, when I went to domestic relations for my child support, the woman at the counter asked for the name of my husbands attorney and then my attorney. She gave no reaction at the mention of my spouses attorney but gave an approving chuckle when I mentioned attorney Merwine. When I asked why she reacted that way, she replied "you've got a GREAT lawyer. Your husband should be worried!" She was right. So far all of the legal issues have turned out very favorably for me. Although all cases are unique, mine is especially challenging. Both my spouse and I live in other states now and we have four children, two of whom have significant disabilities. Attorney Merwine has successfully gotten me the maximum benefits available so far and continues to work diligently to finalize my divorce. She is determined and will fight to ensure her clients receive the most beneficial outcome possible. Additionally, her staff is always polite and accommodating. It is easy to schedule both phone and in person appointments. I highly recommend attorney Merwine for your legal representation.

Honest & hard working Divorce Attorney
Attorney Connie Merwine did a great job representing me in my divorce. Connie is very personable, approachable and showed that she can be a dedicated counsel to her clients. She was passionate and steadfast when it came to my divorce proceedings. There were several conditions that were very important for me to keep, and Ms. Merwine was honest and open with me about my expectations. Even though my case took longer than expected Connie kept to her strategy and continued to be dedicated to my case. In addition to representing me in the most professional manner, Ms. Merwine has a strong professional network including those at the court house along with her peers. Her presentations to the judge and correspondences with other attorneys were extremely well versed and given in a very strong, professional manner. I could see why she is respected in the field. To add, the MHK Staff in Brodheadsville are truly kind, compassionate and professional individuals who never made me feel uncomfortable, and I sincerely appreciate it. I felt very comfortable being represented by Attorney Connie Merwine. She fought for me and my son and I felt that she did it because she did care. There were times when I wanted to throw in the towel and Connie gave me the support that I needed. If you need a clever, seasoned, honest, hardworking attorney (and staff) Connie is the attorney that you will be happy to have in your corner.
