Kelie Cummins Schneider

Kelie Schneider was born in Huntingdon, Pennsylvania. She attended Juniata College and majored in Philosophy, Politics and Economics. Ms. Schneider earned her Juris Doctorate in 2009 from the University of Pittsburgh School of Law and received the Community Service Award upon graduation. 

During law school, Ms. Schneider was involved in the Health Law Civil Litigation Clinic – participating all three years of her law school career. While participating in the Health Law Clinic, Ms. Schneider was certified by the Supreme Court of Pennsylvania to represent indigent Social Security clients and appeared before Administrative Law Judges for the Social Security Administration. Stemming from her work in law school, Ms. Schneider began to represent Social Security claimants immediately upon graduation and has practiced Social Security Law exclusively since that time.

Kelie Schneider currently serves as the Chairwoman for the Legislative Committee of the National Association of Disability Representatives (NADR) and is also an active member of the National Organization of Social Security Claimants Representatives (NOSSCR).  Ms. Schneider is a member of the Allegheny County Bar Association; the ACBA Social Security Practitioners’ Committee; the Women’s Bar Association of Western Pennsylvania; the Federal Bar Association; the American Bar Association; and the West Virginia Bar Association.   Ms. Schneider also writes Social Security articles for the Lawyers Journal; has taught seminars on Social Security Practice; is a presenter at the National Association of Disability Representatives annual conferences; and has appeared before and spoken to many local organizations in the Pittsburgh Area to continue to reach out to those in need.

Ms. Schneider is licensed to practice law in the state courts for Pennsylvania and West Virginia and in all Social Security Courts throughout the United States. She is eligible to practice in the Federal District Courts for the Western District of Pennsylvania, the Northern District Court of West Virginia; the Northern District of Ohio; and the Third Circuit Court of Appeals.  Ms. Schneider has also appeared before the District Court of New Hampshire, the District Court of Maine; and the District Court of Vermont. 

Ms. Schneider is a Social Security Attorney at Berger and Green, representing clients at the Administrative Hearing Level as well as the Appeal Council and the Federal Court level. She is committed to serving disabled individuals with the kindness and respect that they deserve. Ms. Schneider is devoted to advocating for her disabled clients at every step of the administrative process.
