Areas of Practice: 40% Divorce and Separation, 30% child custody, 20% criminal defense, and 10% appeals. This is in general. I am a litigator. I do almost all areas of litigation. I seem to be the kind of person that people either really like or really don't like as you can see from the reviews. I am not a therapist nor a best friend. I will not tell you what you want to hear to make you happy, nor will I keep you case going by telling you what you want to hear as I bill by the hour. I do my best to be honest about your likely outcome and bring about a resolution in a reasonable time. Sometimes people insist on litigating a losing case. I will do it, my clients are the boss, but it is always a good idea to take the legal advice you are paying for. I take my responsibilities very, very seriously. One of them is to tell you the truth about your situation.

Divorce and Order of Protection
I met Susan in court when she was not my attorney. After watching me take a beating, she offered her professional opinion on my case. (she saw me in court 2 times prior) Thank god I retained her services. Her honesty and understanding of my legal rights was priceless and saved me time and money. ...

misinformed by Susan
I would not recommend Susan to anyone. Susan's law firm was very unprofessional and unresponsive to my needs. She was always unavailable and very rarely returned phones calls. We were not informed of all aspects of the case to make a intelligent informed decision. She did not even sit with her cl...
I cannot be sure who this person or family is. What happens sometimes, I can say, is that the family member is in fact guilty, but they do not want to admit it to their family. So I know what the facts are and what evidence the DA has and I make the best deal I can because that is what my client wants, knowing how much worse it would be after trial when we lose because they are guilty and the evidence is very much against them. . Then the family gets mad because the "innocent" loved one who is lying to them goes to jail, they never see the true evidence and I have to keep quiet about what my client admitted to me. Another scenario is every now and then a judge will recommend a treatment program that will get people out sooner as a apart of a plea bargain, but very rarely the prison system does not have room or rejects them for the program. Out of my control.

Her ego comes above ethics and her client
My experience was one I wish I could forget. I had contracted her to handle my divorce and found that she was uninformed, unprepared, uninterested in representing my interests over my wife's. I had repeated on numerous occasions I would report her to the bar association if I felt she was not giving m...
This is Susan. I believe that I know who this commenatator is. Her accusations are untrue. There were a total of 5 attorney's so far in her case, none were any good according to her, and she tells similar untrue tales about each, and has tried unsuceesfully to sue another for malpractice and to legally dispute my fee, a dispute she lost as I did the job for her that i was hired to do, and her threats to slander me do not intimidate me. I charged a reasonable rate for my services. .Perhaps had she followed any one of her attorney's advice things would have gone better for her.
