http://www.cbsnews.com/stories/2004/12/10/48hours/main660314.shtml Eric killed another child when he was 13. He has served over 14 years, more than most adult murderers. He is now a pacifist, and very ... bright young man who would like to become a forensic psychologist and help us figure out why some kids living in a bad situation kill, or do other anti-social acts, and some don't. He would be in a unique position to help young people who have committed violent crimes to get back on track with their lives and to realize that a human being is more than the worst thing they have ever done. I am not saying that he shouldn't be punished, I am saying that he has been punished. Nothing will bring back the little boy he killed, but perhaps he can help prevent other such senseless acts. That is a life worth living, and will be a benefit to society if he is allowed to live it. If you agree, please write to the New York State Parole Board at http://parole.state.ny.us/CONTACT.asp

http://www.timesledger.com/site/news.cfm?newsid=19090933&BRD=2676&PAG=461&dept_id=542415&rfi=6 Craig, also known as the Wendy's massacre shooter, is a mentally retarded adult who believed that his co- ... defendant would kill him, too, if he did not do what he was told. He may well have been correct, as his co-defendant, as I understand it, started the shooting. Craig has a legal guardian and has no legal or factual ability to make decisions for himself, yet he is spending his life in prison for something he did not understand or know how to cope with. Craig belongs in a facility more suited to his needs, not in a prison where his disabilities continue to be taken advantage of.
