I had brealin assigned as a defense on a burglary 3/ grand larceny 4 case. The case was handled as follows : Breslin did not properly review the evidence. He stated i was "caught red handed" and said in court "there is video of my client committing this crime". Breslin merely took the camera footage... for my guilt rather than review it for flaws, as an attorney is supposed to do. On the grand larceny 4 count in the indictment, I attempted to tell breslin several times I was overcharged and requested he file a motion to reduce my grand larceny charge, as current market value of property at time of the crime was well below the charged amount of 1,381$ and much well below 1,000$ threshold to establish grand larceny. Breslin filed no motions and waived all my motions despite my request to file for reduction. He stipulated with the district attorney for a suppression of a police interview which did not hold any weight compared to the additional evidence. It appears this was done solely to avoid an ineffective counsel claim and to appear as though he put effort into my case. Breslin continued to pressure me into a plea deal for state prison which I repeatedly denied. The judge was against me at first and it did not look good for me. After firing breslin, a second attorney, Trevor Hannigan, reviewed the footage and discovered I was charged in a duplicity manner on the burglary 3 count, meaning the number of times I entered and exited said property was all compounded under one charge, which is illegal under ny cpl 200.80, duplicitous counts prohibited. Had breslin properly reviewed all the evidence for flaws in how I was charged by the grand jury in the indictment, perhaps he would have noticed this. Mr hannigan noticing this flaw ultimately set up grounds for a 30.30 speedy trial dismissal motion, which would have been granted had I not agreed to a misdemeanor plea for sake of saving myself 3-6 more months in jail waiting for a ruling which would have been in my favor. The court acknowledged the defective indictment and likely was a driving force, along with Mr hannigan, in securing my release and misdemeanor plea to criminal trespass 2nd degree, a class a misdemeanor. Had I kept breslin as counsel, I was practically guaranteed state prison time which another attorney had to save me from. Mr. Hannigan additionally challenged the grand larceny charge, which his motion was granted and the grand larceny was reduced to petit larceny prior to a motion to dismiss under 200.80 for the burglary count, which was rebutted by the district attorney by filing a superseding indictment, only to be challenged again my Mr. Hannigan's 30.30 motion which ultimately prevailed. Breslin did not review nor even consider any potential flaws, of which Mr. Hannigan's representation proved there were several. The only help breslin gave me was his ineffective counsel, essentially setting the stage for a speedy trial dismissal motion, due to the amount of time breslin had my case. Breslin was highly ineffective, did not send me copies of all evidence despite requests via voicemail until after I requested it directly in court and stated I would not plead without reviewing all evidence against me. Breslin appeared frustrated at my calls to his cell phone, listed on his business card, which occurred after numerous jail calls to his office went unreturned and unanswered. Breslin claimed he consulted with me at albany county jail in court; however jail visit logs show this is false. A complaint against him has been lodged with the attorney grievance committee. I would NOT recommend this attorney, at least not from my experience.

I would avoid hiring Mr Breslin and his firm at all costs. He flat out lied to me and never answered my calls or answered my important questions. Always got some weak answer weeks after I asked him and was never a direct answer to my important questions. I believe Mr Breslin works in the district att...orney and the Court's favor against you if he is hired as a public defender which in my case he was. Told him many times if he didn't do his job and if he didn't start answering my questions and treating me like a client that I was going to leave him a bad review. When told that he threatened to sue me. Well good luck this is called freedom of speech buddy

Sam was truly amazing. Unfortunately I was arrested for a second DWI which he was able to get reduced to a another DUAI. I was facing criminal charges and possible jail time. He is very personable, responsive, open minded and honest. I would recommend him to anyone. He is worth way more than he c...harges.

I hired Sam for DWI and a few tickets from unrelated incidents. Sam told me the court fine for my DWI would be $500 dollars, and it ended up being $700 dollars. I didn't agree with the result and effort he put into another violation ticket I got, but it did get ACOD and is now cleared the time limit ...resulting in it being dropped. While going to court for that ticket, I was unaware of the court date. He emailed me the day of court, did not call, 6 hours before I was suppose to be there. After court he called, since I had missed it, left a message so the next day when I called him back he told me I was wrong for not checking my emails multiple times a day. Any other lawyer I have ever had would call not email me the day of. The third ticket for a no front license plate and no seatbelt he agreed to resolve never got resolved. After not hearing from him in months I figured it had been resolved, instead I got a letter of suspension in the mail. Which led to me having to go to court myself and resolve the issue. Previously he wanted a picture of my front plate on my car, which I did. Also a copy of my driver abstract, which I made clear to him I couldn't obtain because I did not have my license and needed to ID number off of it. When I first met with Sam he agreed to take care of all three incidents for the amount we had agreed on. It was the amount he told me was his flat rate for DWI, and we had agreed on the amount before ever starting. After leaving him a google review he emailed me claiming everything I said was false and demanded I take it down. Which has now led to me leaving a review here. In his email he claims I went over my time limit and that he just didn't charge me for going over. He also states he charges me less then he normally would for a first time DWI defense. I think it is unreal a year later for him to email claiming all the money he saved me that he should have charged me for. Especially when we agreed on the price and what he could accomplish in that time, before ever starting. He also states he did not need to call me the day of court, that a month before the court would have sent me a paper letting me know the date. Though I do not recall getting a letter from the court. And that the email the day of was just a courtesy. The not calling is just to a test to how he does not always go above and beyond as he claims. I'm very upset with the email he sent me off the basis that he was unhappy I left a bad review. Emailing me demanding I take my review down as to censor me, as a customer, who was not fully satisfied with the service provided

I was referred to Mr Breslin from another law firm that didn't want to deal with an elevator accident, I had a broken foot from a fall and Sam took time to listen to me and helped with all the documentation that I given him, He was fair and honest and very easy to speak to, He is very professional... and always returns phone calls with updates, I had a difficult case however, Mr Breslin made it very successful, I cannot thank him enough,
