I moved back to my hometown in Albany after graduating from Notre Dame Law School.  During my first dozen or so years, I was fortunate enough to have been taught how to defend medical malpractice and general tort cases by two legends im the field of defense - James Carter, Esq. and James Conboy, Esq.  In 1994, my brother, Michael Jude O'Connor and I founded O'Connor, O'Connor, Bresee & First, P.C. along with Dennis First and Dianne Bresee.  Over the past 30 years, I have tried upwards of 100 cases to verdict throughout all of New York State in both State and Federal Court.  My practice areas include medical and professional malpractice, motor vehicle/trucking, New York State Labor Law, premises liability and commerical litigation.  My overriding goal has always been to obtain the best possible result for my clients in an ethical and professional manner.

Truly amazing!
Terry O'Connor represented my daughter when she was only 11 years old for injuries she sustained in an automobile collision. Although it was a very emotional time, my daughter and I felt blessed to have an attorney with true compassion and sincere devotion. Terry and his wonderful supportive staff treated my daughter and I like family and were truly amazing throughout the entire legal process. An absolute pleasure all around
I was a pedestrian hit by an Explorer in a mall parking lot. Even though I didn't want to be "that person who sues", my orthopedist saw that my injuries, and risk for long-term issues, were severe enough to warrant compensation. From the very first meeting, Terry demonstrated his acumen and caring for his clients. He explained absolutely every step, not only what was happening, but why. I never felt left in the dark, I never had a question (no matter how trivial) that went unanswered. He never gave me false hope and was clear about the process and what to expect, both practically and financially, and he came through 100%. I would be remiss to not also mention his staff, especially Rose (paralegal), who handled myriad questions, communications, and logistics with grace and professionalism. I would (and have!) recommended Terry to anyone who needs the advice of a most excellent attorney.

Absolutely The Best
I have had the need on a two separate occasions to consult and hire Terry as my attorney. One for a workman’s compensation case, another for a slip and fall case. In both cases Terry has been absolutely terrific in explaining the process of which these cases had to go through and the potential options and outcomes. Client feed back
Recently, a family member suffered an injury and required an attorney who specialized in personal injury law. We tried several other Attorney's and they were not interested because are case was " not severe enough". We contacted the Law office of O'Connor O'Connor Bresee & First. We meet with Terry and instantley liked him. We had regular and frequent contact with staffers of the firm during the initial intake of the claim. Through-out the legal process the legal assistants and attorneys were thorough, professional and explained each stage of what was happening. Terry eventually obtanined a more than fair resolution to our legal matter. I would not hesitate to recommend them to others who require legal assistance .

Second to None

Top Notch, Quality Attorney. Completely Dedicated to his Clients. He will make you feel comfortable instantly.
When you meet him, he will first insist that you call him - Terry. I was instantly at ease. I was in a serious car accident and anxious about meeting with an attorney regarding my injury. Terry educated me about my options and gave me time to consider them. Not to mention whether I would choose him to represent me. Clearly, My confidence was and is with Terry. He has so much experience on which to base wonderful longterm advice.
