Steven Mitchell Sack is the principal of The Law Offices of Steven Mitchell Sack, where he concentrates his practice in labor and employment law. The author of 19 books, he has been enforcing workplace rights of employees, executives, and sales representatives for over 41 years.
Mr. Sack's comments on the rights of fired workers have been reported in The Wall Street Journal, The New York Times, BusinessWeek, and Fortune. He has made numerous appearances on radio and television including Oprah, CNN, and Fox News, and hosted a national syndicated radio talk show called "Steven Sack, The Employee's Lawyer" for five years on the i.e. america radio network.
His latest book The Employee Rights Handbook: Effective Legal Strategies to Protect Your Job From Interview to Pink Slip, was published by Legal Strategies Inc. in 2011. In Samiento v. World Yacht, Inc. 10 N.Y.3d 70 (2008), he and Scott A. Lucas, Esq. obtained a favorable New York Court of Appeals decision for waiters who were denied tips, making it harder for restaurants and caterers to keep gratuities intended for their wait staffs.
A Phi Beta Kappa graduate of SUNY at Stony Brook and Boston College Law School, Mr. Sack maintains law practices in Garden City, Long Island and Merrick, New York. He is a frequent lecturer and author on labor and employment topics for organizations including The Nassau Lawyers' Association, American Management Association, and numerous trade associations throughout the United States.
Mr. Sack is a member of the American Bar Association, Labor and Employment Division, New York County Lawyer's Association, and New York State Bar Association, and is admitted to practice before the United States Tax Court.
