I am a dedicated Collaborative divorce attorney and trained mediator. My practice focuses on assisting anyone who is thinking about a divorce and wants to do so in a dignified and mature manner. I am specially trained to help you navigate this path in a way that will not financially or emotionally bankrupt you or your family. And best of all, it does not involve the courts. Collaborative divorce is a totally private process, with a team of professionals who are there to assist you with finding a better way forward and coming up with an agreement that you and your family can live with for years to come. Mediation is a confidential process that provides you with a safe setting where you can work together with your spouse, or significant other, with a neutral person there to facilitate the settlement talks. Again, the tremendous benefit to you is that there is no court involvement at all. Please reach out for a free consultation to see if either Collaborative divorce or mediation may be the right fit for you.

So Knowledgeable!
I was referred to Elizabeth recently. She made me feel comfortable talking to her and way more confident about the entire process. I highly recommend her to anyone who is going through a divorce and needs a thorough and knowledgeable lawyer.

Honest and reliable
I went to see Vaz Law about how I could divorce from my husband and get custody of my kids without spending all of our money. I met Liz Vaz who was very nice and very honest. She told me that I do not have to go to court to get divorce and that I may not like the outcome if we went to court anyway an...
"Ms. Vaz is an established and successful collaborative divorce lawyer. Her approach is to resolve disputes without the need to resort to adversarial proceedings. She is also extremely adept at litigation of disputes, if necessary. I have yet to see observe a client at odds with her advice and approach to his/her matter or an adversary counsel to take exception to her methods toward achieving a mutual beneficial separation of spouses. The collaborative divorce process allows for resolution of disputes outside of the restrictions and limitations imposed by the traditional judicial litigation system. This often results in a minimal drain on marital assets and a larger distribution to the parties."
"Elizabeth Vaz is a respected member of the bar and a very caring attorney. She is very devoted to collaborative divorce. She is a kind a smart attorney."
"Liz and I have worked together on several matters and I have never ceased to be impressed by her grasp of the law, her integrity, her responsiveness and her genuine caring for what is best not only for her client but for the whole family. The best interest of the children is always at the forefront in her thinking. When I needed an attorney for a personal matter, I turned to Liz, and she was as prepared, professional and compassionate as I knew she would be. I could not recommend her more highly."
"I can confidently endorse Elizabeth Vaz. She and I have worked together previously and I have the utmost respect for her. She is knowledgeable, professional, and compassionate. It is a pleasure to work with her and I would not hesitate to refer a friend because I know they would be in good hands."
"Elizabeth is a terrific attorney, dedicated to her clients and achieving the best possible outcome for all parties involved. She has an astute legal mind and is a great counselor to help her clients through difficult times. I am pleased to endorse her."
