Lawyer you could trust

At a time of uncertainty and anger I had no knowledge of family legal issues nor did I know where to start looking for the right law firm. I needed someone who I could afford while preparing for my own financial changes to come. I consulted with a couple groups and had the same uncertain feeling as I... did in the beginning. Then I had a consultation with Mr. Gilmer, who took me into his office promptly upon my arrival. He gave me multiple phone numbers and his email ensuring he would make himself available as soon as he was able to, and he did! I valued his counsel because he kept a personable relationship at the professional level. George Gilmer is exactly the attorney I would recommend for family court because I could trust him as my attorney to fight for something so important to me.

Best lawyer

During one of the most difficult and scariest time in my life, I walked into George Gilmer’s office. It all changed from there. I started off needing an uncontested divorce, which is what I thought. This led into a huge child custody and support battle. It wasn’t your average case. My ex moved out of... the state, and had the kids for the summer but refused to return them. He kidnapped them from me, while I was taking care of them for the past 3 years when my ex husband abandoned us. I was lost and George helped me get my kids back. He scheduled immediate court dates, since time was have an essence. He didn’t stop working my case, until he got me all the right court orders, and had my kids returned into the state. He later got me sole custody, proving to the judge that the dad was unfit. He completely changed my life with his dedication and hard work. He was consistent, contacted me when necessary, returned all my emails and phone calls. He never missed a court date and boy were there many. His rates were more than reasonable and fair. I would recommend George Gilmer to anyone who is looking for a loyal, professional and aggressive lawyer. Everything he promised would happen did happen. I will forever be grateful for his services.

Pleased with Mr. Gilmer

My case was a custody case. Mr. Gilmer was knowledgeable in this area. He was prompt on court days and reassuring that this case would be in my favor. He provided professional advice throughout the case and was available via phone each time I had concerns. Even after the case I was able to reach out ...to him to seek professional guidance on a completely different matter.

Aloof and just-for-money attitude

From the outset, I suspected that this lawyer was not representing me conscientiously, but perfunctorily, to get another day's pay. He showed up late most of the time, and mostly acquiesced to my ex-wife's attorney. I really wanted to hire another lawyer, but I had limited financial resources. The... fact that he's avoiding me is a testament to his behaviorism--very unprofessional and laissez-faire. If I had my way he'd be pushing a wheelbarrow instead of pushing himself up to the courtroom to masquerade as a real lawyer. In my estimation: he's giving the profession a bad name and impugning the integrity of the lawyer-client relationship.
