Mr. Gilmer is excellent...job well done with expertise and care!

I hired George Gilmer to represent me in a family law matter and I was very impressed with his expertise revolving around the case. It was George's knowledge that gave us the information and strategies to have the case dismissed. In addition, Mr. Gilmer really cared about my family and spoke with us ...after hours and on weekends to make sure we were at ease and answer any of our questions. I highly recommend George to anyone looking to resolve matters in family law. I know that if any issues arise for us in the future, Mr. Gilmer will be my first call!

Great ESQ

I had a family dispute which was fabricated by my own family, and this resulted in my arrest. George was the only lawyer I felt comfortable in explaining this very embarrassing ordeal. My Family and I have been at odds my whole life, and George ended up seeing that play out on paper, and in court. Ge...orge didn't judge me, and he understood after further review. George did a "great job", given this emotional scenario on my part. I would definitely hire George again, and recommend him as an ESQ.

A lawyer that didn’t back down to ACS & there BULLYING ANTICS

Mr. Gilmer was recommended by a friend that recently used his services, I hired Mr. Gilmer for a Child custody case as well as a high profile ACS case where my daughter was removed from my ex’s home, prior to the removal my ex lied in her family offense papers which lead to me having an ACS case as w...ell. I was told by a few people involved in this case that I had no chance of getting custody of my daughter for a few reasons, and I’d be wasting my time, I should just walk away. Reason 1, My ex wife’s lawyer is the retired Judge from the same court house that I was fighting my in. Reason 2 I’d just come home from a long prison sentence the year before and still on parole. Reason 3 is coming up .. I told Mr. Gilmer I’m not walking away are you up for this battle? He said I’ll see you in my office tomorrow afternoon, I spent 4 hours answering questions Mr. Gilmer was asking me. Each court date was 30 days apart then as time went on it went to 60-90 days apart, when I tell you I bothered this lawyer with 10 calls a day asking questions or adding stuff I forgot to add at the start of this mess I’m not telling a lie, Mr. Gilmer either texted me that he’d call me back he’s in court or with a client and he did just that. Lotta times I’d call after hours, he’d usually got back to me or he called the next morning, mind you most lawyers would charge for every minute, Mr. Gilmer didn’t. Here’s reason 3 that I was told I’ll never get my daughter. 4 months into the case a sealed indictment dropped on me in federal court I'm now looking at a life sentence, I was expecting Mr. Gilmer to say let’s just walk away, to my surprise he didn't, now I’m on state parole and have a new federal case going on, and fighting the ACS CASE AND CUSTODY CASE. I’ll fast forward, from what I was told later on from other case workers, they had never seen a lawyer get ACS charges dropped from the accused “me” & put against the complainant “my ex” which lead to added charges bought against her from ACS. The reason for this is Mr. Gilmer was able to prove she lied in her family offense application. Now the case would have to drag on cause of my federal case I figured I’d get a call asking for more money since we would be going back and fourth on hearings which would of been fair but again to my surprise he didn’t he said your daughter’s well being is what’s important here not money. I’ll sum this up, my federal court sentencing date came a year later I had copped out to a plea, Mr. Gilmer not only wrote the judge a letter, he appeared the day of sentencing in court. Let’s just say with what he said had the judge going outside the sentencing guidelines, I was not going away I’d be doing home arrest for quite sometime . I left out that my exwife had a autistic son that was involved here in this case but they separated him cause I wasn’t his real dad. Well let’s just say it’s almost unheard of that a father with prior felony convictions, nothing serious, no violence, all paper money crime, just comes home off a BID, on parole, has a new case bought against him, and his lawyer Mr. Gilmer gets me full physical custody but also gets me custody of her son from another marriage. I told Mr. Gilmer in a not so pleasant way at the beginning that this is gonna be like fighting for my life, my daughter’s life, my world, he looked me in my eyes and said Something like , “just put your trust in my experience that I have over the years with cases like this “ something like that. And I did . I highly recommend Mr. Gilmer and his staff . This case was outta Staten Island . I recommended Mr. Gilmer to a friend after my case was over he was dealing with a custody case as well and the results were in my friends favor thanks again to Mr. Gilmer. I gain nothing buy writing this review at all I’ve done it so people in need can see he will fight for you Richard Griffin

Highly Recommended

I have used George Gilmer for many matters in various courts. I have found him to be very effective (that's why I kept using him). He was very responsive to my questions and practical in his approach. He made very compelling arguments in Court and was very knowledgeable about the law and he made the... most compelling arguments possible. He represented me in a case that went before the Second Circuit Court of Appeals and did a great job. I have a great amount of respect for him because he was very honest with me, he did not just tell me what I wanted to hear. I am very pleased with his work and would recommend him without any hesitation or reservation.
