Best lawyer

During one of the most difficult and scariest time in my life, I walked into George Gilmer’s office. It all changed from there. I started off needing an uncontested divorce, which is what I thought. This led into a huge child custody and support battle. It wasn’t your average case. My ex moved out of... the state, and had the kids for the summer but refused to return them. He kidnapped them from me, while I was taking care of them for the past 3 years when my ex husband abandoned us. I was lost and George helped me get my kids back. He scheduled immediate court dates, since time was have an essence. He didn’t stop working my case, until he got me all the right court orders, and had my kids returned into the state. He later got me sole custody, proving to the judge that the dad was unfit. He completely changed my life with his dedication and hard work. He was consistent, contacted me when necessary, returned all my emails and phone calls. He never missed a court date and boy were there many. His rates were more than reasonable and fair. I would recommend George Gilmer to anyone who is looking for a loyal, professional and aggressive lawyer. Everything he promised would happen did happen. I will forever be grateful for his services.

Great Experience

I retained Mr. Gilmer to represent me in a child support petition case. I had a great experience working with him. He did a great job of making me feel at ease in the difficult situation. He was very knowledgeable, and thorough and I like that he took his time in explaining things to me and answering... my many questions without making me feel rushed. Mr. Gilmer was a great attorney and such a great support in the process helping me feel at ease. He was able to win my case and get me over 100k in child support arrears. I definitely recommend him and would work with him again.

Gilmer is an eloquent litigator

Since December of 2016 I was embroiled in a custody , and child support case that turned into my ex-husband filing a false acs report against me. I sought the services of George Gilmer and recounted my horrific history of domestic violence with my ex husband and how he was using the financial abuse o...f power and control to wear me down in collecting my child support, and using the system to revictimize me financially since he could not physically harm me anymore . He understands case law very well and was able to secure driving lessons and cost for a private therapist, as well as make him responsible for medical bills had I not secured his services I would have let the fear of seeing this man who tried to destroy my life swallow me whole. He is passionate about doing the right thing and seeing justice served. He also informed that I could sue my ex husband for filing a false report and so guess who I'm securing for that case ! He is a skillful litigator and ran circles around the opposing counsel. I'm so relieved that this is over . His staff is diligent and his process servers are as well serving men like my ex husband who refused to be served and was trying to play games with the system

Top Notch Attorney

I recently hired the Gilmer Law Firm to handle a child support case for me. He was very knowledgeable in dealing with this of type situation and had given me a very fair price compared to several other attorneys I spoke with. From our first discussion he made me feel very comfortable and confident ab...out my case and he was quick to respond to all my calls and questions. I live in another state so he set it up for me to testify electronically from my state instead of having to incur the expense of a hotel and traveling into NY for court.
