I contacted the Acocella Law group about 5 months ago to see if they could help us with a home loan modicfication. I will admit that I was quite skeptical after dealing with other so called home modification lawyers. When I called I talked to Howard Leeds, who I believe was in there customer servi...ce department. I expressed my concerns about hiring another lawyer and he understood. Howard never pressured us to hurry up and sign up. As a matter of fact he gave me his personal cell phone number and told me to call any time which I did, several times. After a couple of weeks my wife and I decided to go ahead and sign up. We were 4 months behind on our mortgage, and getting foreclosure notices. Our interest rate was 8.25% and our payment with taxes and insurance was $3,025.00. Within two months and two weeks a representative from Acocella notified us that our mortgage company had accepted there offer for a modification and gave us a new payment of $1,231.00 with an interest rate of just over 2%. I tell you the truth I have never written a review for anything, but after this happened for us I needed to let other people out there with the weight of the world on there shoulders facing foreclosure that this company is NOT, I repeat NOT a scam. They helped save us $1,800.00 a month on our mortgage.
