This review is way past due. Peter Tilem expertly and successfully handled my case a few years back. But whenever I fly out of New York, I never fail to remember not only my agonizing experience at JFK, but also the offsetting superb work of Attorney Tilem on my behalf. Stuff can happen to anyone,... and when it does you need sharp, capable people in your corner. In my case, after working through the night to finish work prior to an important international business trip, l expected to finally catch some sleep on the long flight and rushed from the office to home to grab clothes, purge my briefcase and then head straight to the airport. Being a business owner frequently working late hours alone at the office, I am also a gun permit holder. Although I was distracted with my work and rushing to catch my morning flight all while on zero sleep, I had the presence of mind to remove my handgun and properly store it in a locked safe at my home before heading to the airport. I am aware of strict NY handgun laws and never for a moment did I consider travelling with my firearm. But, in my state of distraction and haste, somehow I missed seeing a second loaded magazine that had become lodged at the bottom of my briefcase. Airport security certainly didn't miss it, and I was more surprised than they were when, after the usual scan, they went through the contents of my carry-on briefcase and pulled it out. My nightmare had begun. Being a Life Member of the NRA, my first call was to them and they gave me a few suggestions of NY attorneys knowledgeable in firearms laws. As soon as a spoke with Jasmine at Peter's office and then Peter directly, I knew I had the right firm to help me unravel the mess I had inadvertently put myself in. I could not have had any better attorney on my case. Peter not only knew the law cold, he applied the particular circumstances surrounding my case so well he managed to have the case dismissed entirely. I cannot adequately express my gratitude for the outcome he achieved, and I certainly highly recommend Attorney Peter Tilem.

My dealings with Peter Tilem and is Associates was a pleasant experience, however the case that brought me to him was very unpleasant and unusua.l The case took place in Wallkill Criminal Court. Nonetheless due to his hard work and his experience as an attorney things turned out in my favor. Altho...ugh I hope I never have a need for his expertise again, should I know someone that needs a competent attorney I would definitely recommend him. His associate Robert who assist in this case was a pleasure to work with.
