I brought a civil lawsuit against a cemetery and funeral home. I'm a lawyer myself and I initially filed, representing myself and my family members. The defense threatened to have me disqualified from the case for supposedly violating the advocate witness rule. Eventually, I consulted with Eric Roths...tein and he took over the case. Our leverage to settle the case increased, as the defense now knew the case would proceed to a jury trial. They did not want the exposure of a jury verdict, given the emotional nature of the case. In particular we benefited from Mr. Rothstein's subtlety and nuance in dealing with defense counsel, as this can be tricky to navigate. He didn't go for any of the defense attorneys' BS and posturing. The defense claimed many of their offers were "final", but Mr. Rothstein pointed us in right direction, to be able to get the best settlement possible. He knew exactly what to do and when to do it, and we didn't have to worry or question anything. Under his guidance, we stayed firm with our demands and eventually the claims adjusters caved in shortly before trial and paid a fair settlement. In the end, we got some closure on what transpired and received the best possible settlement considering the unique facts of the case.

Upon searching the internet, it resulted in my speaking with Eric Rothstein; with just a few statements, he knew the family and I had a doable case against a funeral home for desecration of sepulcher of my loved one.
