I was involved as the victim in a DV situation with an issued TRO and I found myself beyond lost and overwhelmed! I knew I needed someone to help me navigate the steps and legal process, but I was going to be doing all of this from out of state. I didn’t want to drop the TRO completely but the idea of a trial for a FRO was very intimidating. In addition to all this stress, I was beyond apprehensive when picking an attorney because I knew nothing about NJ and wasn’t able to go meet anybody in person to consult.
