I am really disappointed with this company, because they keep giving me the run around and I started to wonder if they're a scam. Here I am paying them $459.00 dollars since Sept of 2018 and my debtors area constantly looking for their money. If I had know this was going to work out like this I cou...ld've continued doing it myself. I was doing fine without them, but because I wanted to paid off all my cards on a timely manner I decided to do this. I give them credit for always answering their phone and questions.

$84K in CCard debt.

18 months later and they’ve helped me clean up almost $30K worth, plus the creditors don’t call/harass me anymore. I’ve been served to appear in court with some creditors. As soon as this happens, I let the Gitmeid team know and they take it from there. I haven’t had to go to court yet, thankfulll...y. The key is to make the scheduled payments every month, and to notify them immediately of any court notices so they can handle them for you. One month at a time. Slow and steady, and I’ll be out of this soon. Yes there are fees, but with the settlements they arrange, I’m still not paying back all that I’m in debt for, even with their fees. Work hard, make the deposits. Gitmeid will get you out of debt. I’ll give them 5 stars when I’m debt free.

Stay Away from Gitmeid Law!!

I began working with Gitmeid Law about 2 years ago to settle my debt. You start out making base payments every month with additional payments when a card is settled. They like to claim that they are saving you money, but with each settlement comes additional fees that Gitmeid tacks on for their profi...t. I had to continually call once a week to ensure that my cards were being dealt with in a timely manner. I was received multiple summons from the creditors demanding payment. My advise - Talk to your creditors and work out a payment plan directly with them. At least you know things are being handled.

I don't recommend Gitmeid Law and here's why.

I began working with Gitmeid Law 3 years ago to settle my debt. They start out with a base payment every month but when they negotiate with your credit card company you have to pay an additional amount plus fees for their profit, which can be hundreds of extra dollars per month. My cards were paid of...f faster but in the end with fees I stilled paid the same amount I would have on my own. Also, the debt you paid is considered taxable income so you will receive a 1099 from your bank and you will have to pay taxes on the negotiated amount. This adds up. I wouldn't recommend using this company and if you can find another way to pay off your debt without paying someone to help, you might be better off. Your bank can legally take you to court for not paying, which mine did! You WILL pay more than the original amount they tell you, You WILL get taxed, and you WON'T save very much in the end.

Amazing Experience!!

The Law Offices of Robert Gitmeid helped me out in one of the toughest situations of my life. I found out that I had a judgement on a lawsuit that I never even knew about and now the creditor who sued me was trying to garnish my paychecks. The worst part about it was I just got a brand new job so I w...as terrified of getting embarrassed in front of my new employer. The Gitmeid Law firm took on my case, convinced the creditor to not garnish me and even got the amount I owed lowered by almost $3000! At the end of the day, not only did they save me a few thousand dollars but they also saved me my good name. Their attorneys were very nice and listened to me (which I think is rare with attorneys). They also accomplished all of this for me in just a few weeks and I'm really grateful to them for that.
