Arbitration 20%

FINRA, JAMS and AAA arbitrations are more common now that most employers require employees to consent to adjudicate employment disputes in confidential arbitration forums. We regularly handle client disputes and look forward to handling litigations.

We negotiate / mediate client matters, and when a fair result cannot be obtained, we litigate cases involving non-competes, trade secrets, bonus and deferred compensation, discrimination and wrongful termination in all courts and arbitration forums.

We handle discrimination cases asserting gender, national origin, race, skin color, age, religion, familial status, disability, retaliation or sexual orientation. You are protected by City, State and Federal Laws. I was a mediator for the EEOC.

Expungement 5%

We routinely handle the negotiation of U-5s, and we file FINRA Arbitrations to expunge a negative, defamatory, incomplete or false U-5 filing. The U-5 is a minefield, often branding employees as bad actors, impairing one's re-employment prospects.

A true advocate for the abused employee

While sometimes a bit rough and overly aggressive, Jonathan has a proven track record of advocating on behalf of those who have either been victims of discrimination or have had their employers withhold payments to them. In these types of cases the law is clear, but the little guy or gal is at a big ...disadvantage against the financial and legal resources of their former company. Jonathan gets results and in most cases works only on a retainer basis.

A true professional and a fighter

I have been Jon's client for 4 years on couple high stake cases. He truly delivers big. He is a hard worker and has been always available rain or shine. His partners Eric Stern and Michael Mui are on top of their game and have a true insight on how the case is going and how to push it to a win. ... I highly recommend Jon

best of breed -- poised to be your advocate

I interviewed 9 attorneys before hiring Jonathan. I chose him because I wanted an advocate, a champion and someone who had my back. When working in a hostile environment where 'employment' means uncivil and zero-sum treatment, you want a coach to direct you through, give you a game plan and assure... your release. Jonathan speaks to corporate legal departments as their peer and your champion. If you want pussyfooting and coddling, don't hire him. If you want results, direct talk and action, he will get you to the other side with the liberation, compensation and results you ask him to achieve. I have referred others to Jonathan for similar result.

Delivered

Jonathan helped my family during a difficult time. Yes, he is edgy, yes he is a bulldog, but one with a big heart. He is someone you want on your team.

No Nonsense Advocate

Jonathan provided the support I needed through a tough time. He was direct and fearless when advocating for my rights with a former employer. He takes a no-nonsense approach to get things done and is well-balanced by a team that fights equally as hard with care and compassion. He gave me practical... legal guidance about when to push and what to expect. This is the team you want on your side. I would definitely work with Jonathan again.

Avvo Rating

Our Rating is calculated using information the lawyer has included on their profile in addition to the information we collect from state bar associations and other organizations that license legal professionals. Attorneys who claim their profiles and provide Avvo with more information tend to have a higher rating than those who do not.

What determines Avvo Rating?
  • Experience & background Years licensed, work experience, education
  • Legal community recognition Peer endorsements, associations, awards
  • Legal thought leadership Publications, speaking engagements
  • Discipline Disciplinary information may not be comprehensive, or updated. We recommend that you always check a lawyer's disciplinary status with their respective state bar association before hiring them.
