If you need a lawyer, it’s likely something hard is happening—an ending, an accident, etc. It’s a challenging time under the best of circumstances, and you want someone on your team that will make that easier in big and small ways. As a lawyer, Francelina adequately completed the task at hand suc...cessfully— legally dissolving my business of 10 years in accordance with NY State. She answered direct questions in a timely manner and was seemingly professional throughout the process. That being said, she made each step of the process harder than it needed to be. There were often simple and traceable mistakes on her end in the few documents sent between us. There was a clear lack of attention to detail and a refusal to be even respectfully accountable to even the clearest and most egregious errors—for example after four months as a client she put my name wrong on all of our final documentation, even after it was pointed out prior. The final time was in our dissolution documents. When I pointed it out she told me that the correct spelling of my name didn’t matter in the eyes of NY State. Fair enough it doesn’t matter to them, but does matter to me, and I believe it should matter to our lawyer. Beyond that, work had to be done several times because it was not done properly the first time. This caused continued delays and an increased bill. We were not billed monthly as we were contractually supposed to be, and at the end had quite a large final tally (several thousand dollars more than we were initially quoted). Interestingly enough, the bill was very detailed as compared to the rest of the work. To be fair, when I pointed out the errors she offered a courtesy discount of 20% on services. Though it was only applied to part of the services—the smallest amount. She was also clear that the discount was for “my stress” not because of any wrongdoing on her part. On a personal note I found Francelina to be rude, lacking compassion, and disingenuous. This process really should have and could have been more straightforward, kind, and affordable. I wish everyone luck with whatever is causing them to look for a lawyer and encourage you to make sure you have someone that will make it easier, especially when human mistakes occur.

Does anyone notice how Francelina's very few positive feedback in 2019 are posted all within a few days of eachother, and some on the exact same date? Coincidence? You may also notice that some of the positive reviews seem designed to refute past negative comments point for point. Do typical revie...wers naturally and independently do this on their own? I personally would not trust even a restaurant or hotel with such shady reviews. I will leave it to the readers make their own determination based on this observation, especially for something as important as retaining an expensive attorney. Why take the risk when there are plenty of better options which I say based on my unfortunate experience and mistake of having retained Francelina's services.
