I had 2 consultation calls with Jennifer and was extremely impressed with her knowledge and professionalism. I wasn't in a dispute with my property manager, but a victim to another tenant's abusive and toxic behavior for 2 yrs. who happened to be in Housing Court for non-payment of rent and holdover ...dwelling. Just as I was getting ready to hire Jennifer, the court issued a stipulation/order on the problem tenant. Jennifer was our attorney on a decade-long case that involved our rent stabilized building (I was a tenant) and was in a dog-fight with some TOUGH building owners that were double-dipping on the tax-abatement (stipend) from the city/state and us, the tenant. As the years went by, and the case moved... from court to court, had appeal and appeal, and more time kept going by she ALWAYS said, we will be victorious! She knew our case was strong, but would not be strong-armed by this notorious landlord. She would email us each and every time there was a hearing, trial or any material information on the case, and a timeline. She never lost her motivation and after a decade we were just awarded! And let me just say, it was like hitting the lottery!!! Jennifer, you ROCK!

I have no words to thank Jen and Mike for helping me out in a very stressful situation with my-now-former landlady. Jen was recommended by a friend of mine who is also a lawyer and said she is “the best lawyer you can possibly find.” At first, I had a hard time believing that. See, I had a complicat...ed situation as my landlady was demanding more money right after she fixed our hot water and shortly after the incident, I had to leave for a 2-month stay abroad. If you are also dealing with a greedy landlady/landlord, and if you want an attorney who has your back, is responsive and trustworthy, look no further. I have already recommended Jen to one friend, and I will continue to suggest her to anyone needing solid legal advice. I had no prior knowledge of my rights as a tenant, in fact, I remember during our first call I was really nervous, but Jen and Mike will make you feel safe and understood and right now if there is one thing all New Yorkers need in this high-rent frenzy is access to knowledge, knowledge of tenants’ rights. Thank you so much for giving me the confidence to stand up to injustice and for giving me peace of mind; had I not found you I would probably continue to live in a hellish situation. I will be eternally grateful for everything you did and there should be more practitioners in the legal system with such integrity and thoughtfulness.

I was renting a unit that was apparently unlawfully deregulated, and I wanted to at least recover rent overpayment.
