Kenneth A White

Ken White is the absolute BEST. He helped me through the most difficult time of my life. In fact, I owe a tremendous debt to his whole team, including Joanne and Evan for helping me navigate through my divorce. Shane and White were there to answer all my questions and to give me sound advice at ev...ery moment. Most importantly, Ken made sure that my priorities were front and center, including assuring that the best interests of my child were protected, which meant my having no less than 50/50 parenting time. Ken, has a great understanding of Family law. He pays great attention to the minute details of the situation and has a very realistic approach to tackling each step of the case. Divorce is never easy, there are no winners, especially when you're blind sided and love your family (2 kids) and home. Emotions are tough to manage and COVID didn't help the situation - imagine not knowing why you're divorced! Hiring an attorney who understood what he was up against was tough fo...r me because it was difficult to explain to him clearly. He was up against two tyrants who were going after everything they could, even a premarital home that she was in no way entitled to, while turning my children against me. She wanted to destroy me. I was sure I was going to lose it all and Ken navigated things to the point that I feel like a survivor of not only a divorce, but narcissistic abuse. I would never go for anything that was not fair and received what was rightfully mine after 18 years of marriage. Ken made sure that my premarital property was left untouched as the other side and their attorney went after it tooth and nail - like criminals. I hired Ken pretty much at the 7th innings of a 9 innings game. I was in the midst of trial and my ex-wife and the joint custody evaluator had already testified. I had challenges dealing with my prior attorney and based on reviews and recommendations requested Ken to step in. At first, he was relucta...nt but then took on my case and immediately immersed himself in the history of the case and prior litigation. My divorce process became more complicated and extremely contentious because of a non-co-operating spouse and an extremely hostile adversary. However, Ken was at ease and handled the process with professionalism. He was always looking to find a solution keeping my best interests in the case rather than needlessly trying to litigate matters at court. He is very experienced, practical, trustworthy and knowledgeable. I found him to be very forthright and he will tell you the truth even if it is something you might not want to hear. He is assertive in his approach and even in extremely stressful and emotional times, he would connect with me and let me know what was realistic on how to handle things. His entire team is professional and courteous. During the trial, I observed that he knows his way around the Middlesex county Court and commands respect by fellow attorneys, mediators, court staff and judges.

After reading many reviews here and having doubts about the law firm that was representing me at the time, I set up a consultation with Mr. White. I was in the middle of an ugly divorce with custody issues and relocation and I decided to change lawyers and proceed with Mr. White. I couldn't have ma...de a better decision. Even though I was in the tail end of the case, Mr. White pointed out things that should have been done and weren't. I think everything was handled professionally, timely and more thorough than the prior year or so that I was represented by someone else. I found him to be a straight shooter, someone looking out for my best interests in the case and someone who tells you the truth even if it is something you don't want to hear. He is dedicated, trustworthy, was always timely in getting back to me and thoroughly explained everything that I needed. Even in very emotional times, he was able to communicate with me and let me know what was realistic on how to handle things. His office is professional and courteous and I felt like they knew who I was when I called even when speaking to the secretary. That is a big difference from a large law firm when the first thing you are asked is "Are you a client??" A miracle happened a few days before we were set to trial and I was able to settle. Again, while everything may not shake out how you want it to, I feel that Mr. White did a thorough job managing my expectations and the give and take needed. I know that if I had retained Mr. White from the beginning that this case would have been handled different and may have been over a lot more quickly but I am so happy that I switched when I did. I did win custody and I am able to move :) My advice to anyone reading this is: you may think that given your circumstances that you would be better off with a large family law firm but I have found out that it is important to choose someone with a lot of experience, someone who has built relationships within the county that your case is being handled and someone that is not just worried about how much they are billing you at the end of the month.
