KEVIN SHEEHY, Resident: Toms River, New Jersey. Education: Saint Anselm College, B.A. 2001; Seton Hall University School of Law, J.D., 2006. Admitted to the New Jersey Bar, 2007.
Mr. Sheehy is a partner with the law firm of Leyden, Capotorto, Ritacco, Corrigan & Sheehy, located in Toms River, NJ. He is Certified by the New Jersey Supreme Court as a Certified Civil Trial Attorney. He has tried a multitude of jury trials to verdict. He has also appeared and argued on numerous occasions before the NJ Appellate Division. Mr. Sheehy has been selected to the New Jersey Super Lawyers list of 2019 and 2020, and the New Jersey Super Lawyers Rising Stars list from 2014 to 2018. Mr. Sheehy’s practice areas include insurance defense, personal injury and general litigation.
Mr. Sheehy was a Judicial Clerk for the Honorable John A. Peterson, Jr., J.S.C. Ocean County, New Jersey from 2006-2007. He is a member of both the New Jersey and Ocean County Bar Associations. He is also a member of the New Jersey Defense Association and Trial Attorneys of New Jersey.
Mr. Sheehy previously served as Pine Beach Planning Board attorney from 2007 though 2014. He has also served as Berkeley Township Labor Counsel and Conflict Attorney for the Municipal Utilities Authorities from 2008 through 2011. In additional to having represented Municipal Clients in numerous municipalities throughout Ocean and Monmouth County, Mr. Sheehy appeared as Brick Township Public Defender from 2007 through 2014.

Good Lawyer- Nice Guy
Kevin represented me on a second DUI with significant aggravating factors. The stress of facing that was unbearable until I met Kevin. He persuaded the judge to not send me to Jail. At the sentencing I felt like this guy knew me and really cared. That showed and the Judge spared me jail.

FIERCE
Kevin represented me on a subsequent DWI- He was able to get a prior conviction ignored so that I was sentenced as a first offended- He fiercley pursued the matter while at the same time maintaining a good relationship with the court and prosecutor.
