I consulted with Mr. Isaacs for a divorce mediation case. I was prepared to pay the consultation fee. The consultation went very well and I got a good feeling from Mr. Isaacs. A tentative game plan was discussed. The consultation exceeded one hour, but at no time during the consultation was I informed that the clock would keep running and the fee if I exceeded the initial hour. Be that as it may, I wanted to retain Mr. Isaacs and paid a double consultation fee. Subsequent days later, after speaking to my spouse about the tentative game plan, I contacted Mr. Issacs office about adjusting the game plan ie., which mediator. Mr. Isaac's's secretary, after speaking to him, informed that Mr. Isaacs had already set the game plan and would not be representing me. I was completely taken back by the response and the fact that he wouldn't speak to me directly but chose to have his secretary pass along the message.

This law firm is primarily interested in your money. There is a $250 consult fee. During this consultation, there are absolutely NO guarantee of useful information. He can simply use this time to advertise himself instead of helping you and try to convince you to give him a retainer. If $250/hour is his fee, you can imagine how much the retainer is.
I contacted this law firm because my employer refused to pay me for the last two months of work. I'm strapped for money and need to pursue the employer to get them to pay me for the work done. At this point if my lawyer wants to drain the few dollars I have left, how am I supposed to survive? There needs to be a law which mandates that attorneys work on commission at least 30% of the cases. These rates are just plain ridiculous. Big corporations might be able to afford that but how can an average person who has employment issues afford that kind of money?? I can't imagine that the framers of the constitution ever imagined basic subsistence would be this complicated.

This situation left me with a lot of stress, questions and uncertainty. I contacted a few law firms before I finally contacted Hanan M. Isaacs, P.C.. They were very prompt and professional. When I went to visit at their office for further consultation the atmosphere and the way they greeted me made me feel like a very important client and took consideration for any conditions I had at the time. After the meeting we mutually decided to work with each other and hired them for my case and have not had any regrets thus far. They contact me as needed and get back to me very quickly if I have any questions. Everything since then has been smooth and it's great to have all that stress alleviated off my shoulders.
