Best lawyer and team!
One of the smartest things I did 3 years and again a few months ago was hire Hanan Isaacs and his team. They make me feel like I'm their only client. Kind and considerate responses almost immediately when I have questions and no one has ever fought harder for me!! Struggling with my long term disab...

Very disapointed
I had very bad experience with this lawyer. His firm overcharged me by more than 1000 $ on a simple Settlement agreement and did not want to provide any billing information when I asked why he charged me more than it was projected (verbally and even his retainer agreement stated this). Hanan became v...
This is a complaint from our former client, Vasili Melnic. Mr. Melnic already had this matter fully investigated by the Better Business Bureau, which declined to take action. We spent 3 weeks intensely working for Mr. Melnic on his divorce settlement agreement. We advised Mr. Melnic from the start: there is no way to predict or guarantee a final bill, and the Retainer Agreement so stated. The estimates we gave him were based on averages for the work we do with many people. We clearly state the hourly rates for the work we do. This was not a fixed fee assignment, because if it were, we would have so stated. We do not stand in the way if parties wish to negotiate and renegotiate with one another. That is what happened here. Husband negotiated with wife, who had no lawyer. Husband came back to us time after time to make substantive changes which adds time and expense, and which we so advised Mr. Melnic, per NJ Supreme Court edict. We explained all of this to Mr. Melnic, and he promptly went from inquiry to attack mode. He accused us of purposely inflating his fees; became very abusive, bringing up supposed mistakes that he had never mentioned before. And then he started making threats to go to all of the major attorney websites to leave bad reviews. I told Mr. Melnic we refused to work for him anymore and he should go find another lawyer. I have been a NJ attorney for 40 years; and a Supreme Court of NJ Certified Family Law Specialist, of which there are only 250 out of 70,000 lawyers in this State. I have been Chair of the State Bar Dispute Resolution Section. I have served on the NJ Supreme Court’s Unauthorized Practice of Law and ADR Committees. I have taught law at Seton Hall Law School and Rider University. I have received the NJSBA Dispute Resolution Section and General Practice Section Practitioner of the Year Awards. I have served as President of the NJ Association of Professional Mediators. I publish and speak regularly on Family Law, ADR, negotiation, arbitration, mediation, and related topics. I have served as lead trial counsel in federal and state courts for most of my career. In sum, our law firm did a superb job for Mr. Melnic; Mr. Melnic got the full benefit of the work we did which was reasonable and in alignment with the agreement he signed. At the end of the day, with large marital assets, child support, college education financing, and related matters at risk, we completely protected Mr. Melnic and his child. His wife accepted the deal, not because it was bad, easy, or obvious, but because we included what both sides needed. Despite all of that, Mr. Melnic went to war with us over $900.

Divorce mediation consultation
I consulted with Mr. Isaacs for a divorce mediation case. I was prepared to pay the consultation fee. The consultation went very well and I got a good feeling from Mr. Isaacs. A tentative game plan was discussed. The consultation exceeded one hour, but at no time during the consultation was I informe...
Anthony, thank you for taking the time to visit with us and comment on your experience. After I gave you specific advice about an approach I strongly recommended, you decided to put your own team of experts together. We respect your right to use the professionals you choose. However, we are not required to partner with clients when we do not see a good fit with the professional team they decide to put in place. We wish you all the best as you go through the legal process.

He just wants your money
This law firm is primarily interested in your money. There is a $250 consult fee. During this consultation, there are absolutely NO guarantee of useful information. He can simply use this time to advertise himself instead of helping you and try to convince you to give him a retainer. If $250/hour is ...
Hi Muhammad, Thank you for your comment. Since our request for a consult fee offended you, apparently on your first call to the office, you never gave our law firm a chance to help you. Our one-hour consult fee is set at a reduced rate, as a courtesy to potential clients. Experienced employment lawyers often charge a consult fee. In this office, we provide real value for the time we meet. Sometimes, we can solve the person’s entire problem in that single meeting, or send him/her away with a complete plan of action that may require no legal assistance at all. Our clients are highly appreciative of our work, and many of them let us know that. As a professional business, we have determined we cannot afford to give away hundreds of hours of time per year. It makes no business sense for us to spend free time evaluating people’s claims. We do not judge other lawyers for choosing a different model. We just know what works for us. We wish you the best of luck in finding an attorney who suits your needs. Hanan M. Isaacs, P.C.

Honest, knowledgeable, reassuring and straight forward communication.
Hanan handled an employment law issue for me and did an excellent job. We didn't have much to work with, and Hanan was honest with me about the best approach (Hanan counseled me to avoid litigation as the expense would not be justified). The most important aspect of Hanan's work for me was that Han...
