I recently had Mr. Fridie represent me in a case and all I can say is I have never had a better lawyer in my life. I have dealt with Lawyers in past situations that often left me frustrated because it would take them forever to return my calls and it never seemed to me as if they were really working ...on my case. From my first meeting with Mr. Fridie I could see he was very knowledgeable about the law and cared about my case. He made me feel comfortable and did not just tell me what I wanted to hear. He understood the court system and how it works. He is very reliable and punctual. I never had to call him once to ask what was going on because he always stayed in touch with me and kept me updated. Personally, I am confident and proud to recommend Mr. James Fridie III to anyone that is faced with legal issue. Mr. Fridie represented me in 2011 during a statutory rape charge. I was black-mailed by a physically-mature appearing female who falsely told me she was 20 yrs old. we got intimate. Unf...ortunately, it is a liability crime; once you did it you are guilty. Worse of all, during my arrest, I admitted to the police that I was sexual with her, which was a solid evidence against me. Only because I was confident she was of age. I consulted with 4 different lawyers. All of them clearly told me that based on the age difference, the State of NJ will impose mandatory jail term. The lawyers said they could probably help by reducing the jail term and making sure I served in county jail instead of prison. My brother suggested that I spoke with James Fridie III about the issue. During the consultation, James recited just what the previous four lawyers said, but ended by saying “I CAN’T GAURANTEED YOU BUT I CAN FIGHT AT ALL CAUSE SO THAT YOU EXPERIENCE THE LEAST IMPACT FROM THE CHARGE” That sentence I felt was promising. I hired him as my attorney. The State demanded 5 years jail term in the pled deal. Surprisingly, however, James was able to fight on my behalf and I was sentenced to only probation with no jail time served. When I signed in at probation, all the probation officers were astonished that I did no jail time for search offense. In addition to fighting so elegantly on my behalf, I felt James played a role of a counselor: He treated me with respect, he was prompt in responding to my calls and emails, he was receptive, he went to all my court sections on time, he communicated and explained every legal jargon and made sure I understood it, he guided me in decisions and didn’t impose any decision on me. Considering the above experiences, I am delighted to recommend James Fridie III to anyone who is facing legal issue that is within the scope of his practice.

In February 2024 I made a list in search of a good divorce lawyer and James Fridie was my first call. He made a promise that he would help me and talked a good game. So I hired him and gave him $2500. retainer. His requirements. Later in that year I saw my house up for sale in June 2024. I emailed Ja...mes an sent him the info and had no response from him. When he did finally call me we got to talking and he needed some specific documents. So I retrieved them and emailed them to him. Fast forward 2025 haven't heard from him in like months so I emailed him requesting an update and progress on my divorce. I again was ignored. I was told he was in trial. Then another time it was a family member who got sick and he wasn't available to make a phone call or set any appointments. Very unprofessional! I did all the research and gave documentation to him. I even went as far as giving the location and background info of my (still husband) and paid for that. I sent that to him and no response. Every phone call was the same repeated conversation from prior conversation with no results no progress no nothing. Now hes asking for more documents and still no progress. It has been now 2 years and 4 months since I've given him the $2500 retainer. Worse part is my husband sold my house without me and took the money and ran to another state in 2024. When I emailed James abouty house being up for sale if he would of intervene on that real state I would of had a better chance of getting a settlement then than now! It's now June 2026 and my husband is broke and spent my half of the money sold my house out from underneith me (fraud) and moved out of state. So my chances of getting anything at this point is nothing thanks to James Fridie. He did nothing for me not even a title search on how my husband sold my house without me. I requested my retainer back due to negligence and lack of communication. Very unprofessional and disheartening considering he was so willing to help me with my divorce and I believed him. 2 years and 4 months with no results or communication from him just excuses and me doing his job with researching to find my soon to be ex-husband out of state. One more thing....Since Ive moved back to NJ from Wisconsin in June of 2024, not once has James Fridie asked me to meet him in person. Very unprofessional and does not care about his clients needs! James your fired and please return my retainer because you have done nothing to help me.
