Richard George Huizenga

I hired Richard to defend me against a traffic violation that was going to put points on my record and increase my insurance. From my first phone consultation, he was easy to talk to and understanding— two traits I didn’t expect. Richard actually went to the court for me on the day of my trial (I did...n’t have to go) and represented me. He was able to reduce the charge and I was charged a fee, but didn’t receive any points on my license. I would hire Richard again in a heartbeat when (hopefully not though!) I needed to. I was stopped by the local Police in Chester New Jersey on my way to New York State to go fly fishing. In addition to speeding as it turned out a surcharge notice had gone out that morning and I was on the revoked list also. The Police pretty much wrote me up for everything imaginable in the book. ... I consulted my normal business lawyer and he wanted $1,500.00 to go to Court and defend me. He actually recommended that I consider Mr. Huizenga as, to quote my business lawyer, "Huizenga does this type of work every day and he will definitely be cheaper and will probably get you a better result because all of the Prosecutor's know him and deal with him on a regular basis." I contacted Mr. Huizenga's Office and was charged $225.00 ($1,373 LESS than the original lawyer). When I went to Court we were in and out (apparently cases with lawyers are taken first) and I got "no points", pleading to one amended ticket for obstruction of traffic with an $89 fine. Other than the fact that I had to travel all the way back to Chester from Monmouth County (Chester is a town pretty much in the middle of no where) to resolve the case, I was able to save at least $1,000 and possible license revocation. I admit that I was initially skeptical that I would get such a good result for such an affordable legal fee, but results are results. Highly recommended.
