I had the absolute pleasure of retaining the services of Mr. Warren Sutnick. Having a DUI case was one of the most difficult moments of my life and disrupted my work as well as my family. I am very lucky that Mr. Sutnick agreed to use his legal expertise to defend me in a case. The result exceeded my expectation as it was dismissed by the Judge after hearing his argument. Warren's intimate knowledge of the local judiciary system enabled him to devise the best defense strategy for ...my case. At the day in court he hit it out of the park. The argument delivered was precise and convincing in a respectful way. The case was dismissed in a matter of minutes. His work did stand out to be the best and most efficient as I watched quite a few attorneys defend their clients in court that day. As a client I found Mr. Sutnick to be a confident and caring attorney. In our initial meeting he explained how the case would play out in the system and his strategy to deal with the challenges. He also lay out the potential outcomes that we should be aiming for but never made any unrealistic promises. Knowing that I am in capable hands does ease my anxiety a lot. Even after the case was over, Mr. Sutnick still found the time to meet me personally to give me the court document although he does not have to. Firstly, Warren never asked me to review him. I offered him a review 2-3 months after resolution of my case. Till Mar 2020, I had never had to step inside a police station in my life. My last traffic ticket was a speeding ticket in college a decade and a half back! I was arrested for DWI and Refusal,... in what Warren later told me (corroborated from other sources online), was a particularly tough county and court for DUI/DWI. Immigration was my first and only thought since I'm on a long term work visa. I was issued the standard 5 or 6 tickets - reckless driving, careless driving, DUI, etc. I called a couple of attorneys but really felt a connection with Warren - he was kind, compassionate, non judgemental and seemed really knowledgeable even on that first call. More importantly, he did not make promises just to win a client - he was realistic about the tough nature of the court my case was in. The prosecutor refused any type of a 'deal' and wanted a guilty plea (in NJ, 'deals' are forbidden for DUI). This was not acceptable to me. Warren and I had many calls (we got time as things were delayed due to Covid) on this and he's always super easy to contact - just leave him a note on his portal and he gets back pretty quickly with a slot for a call. We ultimately decided that we will go for a trial (in NJ, not more than 2-3% DUI cases go to court). I attended two sessions virtually and the trial was set in person. Warren was a super star lawyer in court where he got the arresting officer to admit to lapses in procedures in front of the judge. I could clearly see the intense annoyance on the face of the prosecutor, during Warren's cross examination of the arresting officer, who perhaps had thought that it was going to be an easy case for the prosecutor. An independent witness I had retained also confirmed that for this particular court, it would be near impossible to get both the DUI and the Refusal dismissed. In the end, Warren managed to get almost all of my tickets (including DUI) dismissed. I pleaded guilty to the lesser charge of Refusal because to me that was better than trying the judge's patience by refusing to co-operate. I wasn't willing to take the risk of putting the judge in a position to decide. I did have to get a breath test device installed in my car for one year and there's some amount of pain in that but my fears about immigration status was over after the DWI dismissal. Refusal is a non-moving traffic offense that stays on your license for ever but stops counting after 10 years. I do not ever intend to put myself through this experience. I can highly recommend Warren. He will do the best for you and will always have time for you. You aren't just a client or a number for Warren - you're someone he wants to save. People make mistakes and blunders but just as he did for me, Warren on your side will definitely be a good thing. Maybe not so much for the prosecutor though! If you're reading this, you've probably in a similar situation to me. Give Warren a call before deciding on an attorney!

I retained Sutnick and Sutnick in mid-2019. My allegations included two felonies, a DUI, three criminal violations, and about 3 moving violations/traffic tickets. At the time I also had an opening A Misdemeanor case in NY. Laura appeared with me at my first two court dates; first in Superior Court an...d afterwards when we got good news that the case would be dropped down to Municipal Court. On my third and final Court date, Warren took over. He was able to negotiate a plea with the DA that included NO CRIMINAL CHARGES (with Laura's help behind the scenes I'm sure, as she worked on the majority of my case). I couldn't have imagined that kind of result in a million years when I was initially handcuffed with one hand to a bench on the ground at the local precinct. I can't express enough gratitude to both Laura and Warren for their hard work, effort, and determination, which ultimately gave me my life back. One final thing I'd like to make special note of is Warren's professionalism and clear experience handling himself in the Courtroom. When I appeared at my last Municipal Court date, he had already worked out the plea agreement, he made a special point to tell me I'd be appearing in front of a pretty strict judge, and he gave me specific pointers on how to respond to lines of questioning. After the plea was worked out, Sutnick & Sutnick were even able to pay my final fees to get my driving privileges back without me having to take public transportation from NY to NJ to pay in person; I was able to pay from the comfort of my home and finally put the entire nightmare behind me. I really cannot thank both Warren & Laura enough and I would absolutely recommend them - without any hesitation - to anyone facing an open criminal case in NJ.
