In 2002, after 15 years in the mortgage banking industry, I opened the Law Office of Michael C. Schonberger, LLC  in order to play a larger, and more trusted, role for my clients with their real estate transactional needs. Since that time I have represents hundreds of clients with their acquisitions and sales of both residential and commercial real estate. I have found on many occasions that my clients appreciate my experience and familiarity with the financial aspects of mortgage borrowing as well as having a keen sense of the progression,  and direction, of a transaction.

The Best Lawyer
I was looking to buy my first house and reached out to Michael. He was very calm and composed and explained me the complete process of home buying and made me feel at ease. I decided at that point itself that he will be my lawyer. The home buying process is lengthy and complex but Michael was always there to explain each step in the process and guided me whenever required. Also he provided great insight which really helped me and negotiated on my behalf with the seller so I can get the maximum sellers credit. He and his team really made the process smooth and kept me on track to close the house much sooner than the offer closing date. On the day of closing there was last minute issues that came up but Michael was quick to identify a solution which really helped me to close the house. I will strongly recommend his services to anyone looking for a lawyer and would be definitely reaching out to him again if I ever need a lawyer.

Lawyer, whom we can trust.
Lawyer, whom we can trust. During my life I made deals with lawyers for different matters, but only Michael Schonberger I can highly recommend. We hired him to terminate the contract. MIchael did all to help us escape the situation with the least loss possible and we are really grateful to him for that. Michael is highly professional, knowledgeable and organized, but on top of that he is easy to get in touch with, has a great sense of humor and is a trustworthy person. His office is efficient and very helpful too.

Would definitely hire Michael again
I hired Michael a week after a real estate deal went south...way south. This transactions was part of a marital settlement agreement (MSA) from a divorce and quite complex. What I appreciated about Michael was not only his professional expertise and honesty, but his empathy. He knew how emotionally taxing this process was and never once took advantage of it. Where others might have used that to bill up hours, he did the opposite and kept me grounded. Michael protected my interest throughout the process while advancing negotiations with the other party. His knowledge of the law and structuring deals is impressive to say the least. It's rare to find someone so passionate about their work and who cares about the wellbeing of their clients; Michael is that person. I would happily recommend Michael to any friend or family member and will definitely use him in the future.

Diligent Real Estate Lawyer Always Has Client's Best Interest in His Heart
I've been working with Michael in the past three years. He helped us bought two houses during this period. The transactions was smooth and Michael took care of all the important issues and minor details. The most valuable service from Michael, however, are numerous potentials that we brought to him, where Michael spotted irregularities and advised us to use extra cautious to avoid undesirable situations. The BEST lawyer!!!!
Mr. Schonberger helped me with a complicated property sale. My experience with him has been extremely pleasant and hassle free. Michael is very professional and an amazing person. He understood the intricacies of my case and represented the best of my interests. He fought for my share from the property sale without me having to chase him. I've dealt with lawyers before but Michael has been the best one yet and I'd highly recommend him. I can't thank him enough for truly being there for me and answering all my questions promptly. He always made time for me despite his busy schedule and was very responsive to my emails as well. I got more than I expected just because it was Michael who handled my case. I called Michael for assistance in researching my foreclosure bid. The auction date is too close for him to offer extensive help but he alerted me to a few aspects I was not aware of. Extremely proactive and thorough

Honest and caring
Michael helped me through a very painful shortsale process. I always felt he was giving me the same advice he would give to his mother or sister. Michael is on top of the situation and listens carefully to your concerns. Every time I needed his support, I emailed him and he immediately replied with expert advice.
