Mr. Economos provided inadequate advice and significantly underestimated fees, even for routine tasks such as filing simple forms. His approach to the case was passive and lacked strategic direction. While he initially appeared helpful and reassuring, that changed as the case progressed. Critical gu...idance—such as procedures for child support garnishment and subpoena submissions—was either inaccurate or entirely omitted. Instead of focusing on substantive legal matters, Mr. Economos used court conference time to advocate for the allocation of legal fees to himself and a mediator he personally recommended. These discussions were unnecessary, especially given that all invoices had been paid promptly. After I terminated his services, Mr. Economos failed to return the remaining legal fund balance. He initiated unauthorized activities that further depleted the account and withheld my funds for nearly four months without justification.

Knowing that equitable distribution is hardly a straightforward matter, I was looking for two things in my divorce attorney: expertise and professional pride. Unfortunately, the second was harder to find. For instance, in an initial meeting, I asked one lawyer if it were possible that I might spend s...everal thousand in legal fees and end up with nothing. She acknowledged that might very well happen and seemed completely unbothered by it (as though such an outcome would be completely acceptable to her). This attitude was, of course, completely unacceptable to me. I did not get this sense with Andrew Economos and, more than his legal expertise, this is what ultimately made me choose him. As it turns out, my intuition was correct: the Early Settlement Panel ended up making a suggestion that was strongly in the other party’s favor. He was obviously angry, as though he found such a recommendation personally unacceptable. He insisted that he wouldn’t let me walk away with less money than I had spent on legal fees, so he spoke with the judge further. To make a long story short, he eventually secured a compromise that I believe was fair to both parties; unfortunately, the other side was extremely stubborn in the process and ran up legal fees on both sides by continually rejecting offers. At the end of the day, I didn’t end up with a considerable amount after the legal fees, but this was the other party’s fault, not Mr. Economos’. It is always very expensive to use a divorce attorney – particularly, if as in my case, there isn’t much money to be split—but if you’re going to use one, then I would strongly recommend Mr. Economos. He takes pride in his work and won’t accept anything less than in your best interest.

I cannot say enough about Mr. Economos! I have never felt so informed as I did with Mr. Economos, he made me feel very comfortable. He has class when dealing with the the adversary. Mr. Economos took full control of my situation in court. He stipulated what he wanted to accomplish and that is exactly... what happened in court. I was amazed at how knowledgeable Mr. Economos was and was quite impressed when he dealt with a seasoned lawyer. I will highly recommend him to everyone I know. I cannot thank him enough!!
