I highly recommend Jeremias Batista and it is my pleasure to write this review. He was recommended to me by another attorney that assumed I could only file Ch 13 based on my situation and also because they only dealt with Ch 7 bankruptcy cases. I preferred to file Ch 7 bankruptcy and not Ch 13 if pos...sible. I originally assumed that I could only file Ch 13 and not Ch 7 because I made more than the median NJ salary and was also paying off a retirement account loan that could not be used for the Means Test calculation for Ch 7 eligibility. After our first conversation, Jeremias assured me that I would be able to file Ch 7 based on my case and explained the entire process along with his experiences in cases similar to my own and assured me not to worry. Jeremias clearly directed me on what to expect each step of the way and what documents I needed to provide. A few days after our initial phone conversation Jeremias made arrangements to meet with me at his office to go over my case in detail and also to review and sign a few required documents. We communicated clearly via phone, text and email. My 341 meeting of creditors was on a Monday morning 12/14 and Jeremias contacted me that Sunday evening to review any last minute detail and prep me through the process to make sure all my questions were answered and to make sure everything was in place. Jeremias Batista, Esq. is the best legal counsel, always professional, and what I like most he's available 24 hours 7days/week! I contacted Jeremias after receiving calls from a Debt collector with threats of wage garnishment and lawsuits. I was distraught, he calmed me and said not to worry he ...will take care of the threats and calls.
