Jill Greenstein Cohen

Jill has been the only attorney I have spoken with that actually cared about the the legal trouble I was having, and helped me to the best of her ability. Unlike most of the attorneys I spoke with, that just expected me to come up with a large amount of money to retain a lawyer, somehow, some way, sh...e advised me to the best of her knowledge, what I could do to try to help my situation. I appreciate the information she has given me and would feel very safe to have her as my counsel if I could afford her.

First off let me start by saying that Jill Is not only an excellent attorney- she is genuinely a loving and compassionate woman of honesty who fights diligently on her clients behalf. About 2 years ago I found myself in the wrong place at the wrong time and ended up facing Felony charges!! It seeme...d like my entire life was going to end- and I became very depressed. I called several attorneys and they only made matters worst; but that all changed once I called Jill. I told her about my case and rather than try to Persuay me with scare tactics- she told me not to worry and that this was not the end of the world. She wasn't judgemental, and I could tell immediately that she was a good person just by our initial phone conversation. When I hung up the phone I knew I had chosen the right attorney- and my search stopped there. She fought for me passionately and never accepted anything less than a favorable outcome for me - and her efforts definitely paid off because in the end she prevailed!! Yes - I am very happy to say that My case was ultimately dismissed!! There were 9 co-defendants on My case and out of all of them I am the only one who had case dismissed. Of course you cannot attribute this to anything other than excellent legal representation. I would recommend her to anyone and if I was to ever be caught up in the wrong place at the wrong time again I would certainly not hesitate to contact Jill. She is my fairy God Lawyer for life and I'm so glad I found her!! Not only was she an amazing lawyer - but she turned out to be a great friend as well! You know the kind you just can't help but too give them a big hug when you see them.

As a mature adult, with a very good job, I did a very stupid thing. I took a bag of candy, opened it, ate some and put it back on the shelf. I was involved in an incident while in the Philippines where I was facing possible criminal charges. I contacted Jill Polster to determine my options and retain US representation. I had not been formally charged, I was still in possession of my passport even though the authorities had several chances... to withhold it, and I was never formally told that I was not permitted to leave. Given these facts, Jill very strongly encouraged me to get myself back on US soil immediately, at whatever the cost, and that we would address the situation from the US, “a place where there are laws and rights.” She remained in contact with me between each leg of my return to ensure that there were no problems along the way. It was an extremely stressful situation that was made much easier by Jill’s constant communication and calming, confident disposition. I was mentally a mess as my mind was racing and I feared the worst. Jill continued to tell me that everything was going to work out and why it was that I should believe this (and in the end, she was 100% correct in all her assessments). This personal attention really helped from a mental and emotional stand point. Once I got back to the US, Jill researched and retained the absolute best attorney in the Philippines to partner with. She was in constant communication with both me and the foreign attorney throughout the entire process. She handled the case personally and professionally as if I were one of her immediate family members. She made sure that things were done right and stayed on top of every detail. It was a complicated process with international complexities that involved multiple lawyers in multiple jurisdictions. In the end, everything was dropped. I truly believe that if Jill hadn’t very strongly encouraged me to repatriate immediately, I could have been caught up in a very corrupt system and things could have been very bad. Once I returned, Jill pushed forward throughout the entire process; her coordination, persistence, expertise, and attention to every single detail directly led to everything being resolved without issue. I do not think that most attorneys would have put forth this much effort or handled it with such a personal vested interest. If any one of my friends were faced with a criminal issue, I would almost insist that they call Jill Polster. She did an outstanding job with my case in every respect.
