I have NEVER! written a review for any reason in my life. But had to let the world know about Jill and the Cohen Law firm. My family's nightmare began with my two sons being arrested and falsely accused of 2 counts of Felony Drug Charges. These charges carried very long sentences if convicted. Thi...s was the most stressful time in my family's life. Well, being the nurturing mother that I am, I wasted no time researching and consulting with many defense attorneys. None, gave me that gut feeling, confidence, and trust that I was seeking. 4 weeks and many prayers later. It seemed as if out of nowhere that Jill Polster's bio appeared. I contacted the office, and spoke with her partner Andy. Andy was thus far the only attorney, that genuinely listen, without judgement, exhibited passion and concern for my boys. He gave me his opinion and thoughts on the case, all very positive. After our conversation a great sigh of relief came over me. We arranged an office consultation, for my family. I had to reach out Jill after my lawyer passed in mid-January of this year and it was the best call I made. She and her partner Andy were able to reduce my DUI charge to Alcohol Less Safe and also they were able to get my misdemeanor charge dismissed once I complete a couple more of my requirement. F...or my situation, this was the best scenario possible! I highly recommend Jill and her team and I appreciate all that she did for me!

As a mature adult, with a very good job, I did a very stupid thing. I took a bag of candy, opened it, ate some and put it back on the shelf. The store manager witnessed this and called me into her office. I immediately admitted to what I did, said I would never do it again and offered to pay. She was... very hostile and called the police who gave me a ticket to appear in court. I was a mess. Did not sleep and could not function. Finally called The Cohen Law firm and spoke to Jill Polster who calmed me down, told me they would handle everything and it would be fine. She told me to take a class and I immediately enroled and did that. On the court date, Andy Cohen went with me and he had me sit in court while he did some back room magic. I was involved in an incident while in the Philippines where I was facing possible criminal charges. I contacted Jill Polster to determine my options and retain US representation. I had not been formally charged, I was still in possession of my passport even though the authorities had several chances... to withhold it, and I was never formally told that I was not permitted to leave. Given these facts, Jill very strongly encouraged me to get myself back on US soil immediately, at whatever the cost, and that we would address the situation from the US, “a place where there are laws and rights.” She remained in contact with me between each leg of my return to ensure that there were no problems along the way. It was an extremely stressful situation that was made much easier by Jill’s constant communication and calming, confident disposition. I was mentally a mess as my mind was racing and I feared the worst. Jill continued to tell me that everything was going to work out and why it was that I should believe this (and in the end, she was 100% correct in all her assessments). This personal attention really helped from a mental and emotional stand point. Once I got back to the US, Jill researched and retained the absolute best attorney in the Philippines to partner with. She was in constant communication with both me and the foreign attorney throughout the entire process. She handled the case personally and professionally as if I were one of her immediate family members. She made sure that things were done right and stayed on top of every detail. It was a complicated process with international complexities that involved multiple lawyers in multiple jurisdictions. In the end, everything was dropped. I truly believe that if Jill hadn’t very strongly encouraged me to repatriate immediately, I could have been caught up in a very corrupt system and things could have been very bad. Once I returned, Jill pushed forward throughout the entire process; her coordination, persistence, expertise, and attention to every single detail directly led to everything being resolved without issue. I do not think that most attorneys would have put forth this much effort or handled it with such a personal vested interest. If any one of my friends were faced with a criminal issue, I would almost insist that they call Jill Polster. She did an outstanding job with my case in every respect.
