Connor J. Gilbert is a Partner and Head of the Personal Injury Department at Brooks Law Firm, where he represents individuals and families throughout Massachusetts and New Hampshire in serious personal injury and medical malpractice matters. Known for a trial-ready approach to litigation, Attorney Gilbert has built a reputation for pursuing strong outcomes for clients through both settlement negotiations and courtroom verdicts. His work has earned him recognition as a National Trial Lawyers Top 40 Under 40 honoree, a Lawyers of Distinction selection, and a spot on Boston Magazine's list of Top Lawyers.
Attorney Gilbert earned his Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from the University of Colorado Boulder before attending Suffolk University Law School, where he earned his Juris Doctor with a concentration in Trial & Appellate Advocacy, graduating with Distinction Honors in 2017. During law school, he served on the Moot Court Honor Board and the Suffolk Journal of Trial & Appellate Advocacy, participated in the Juvenile Defenders Clinic, and received the Public Interest Fellowship Award from Equal Justice America — early signs of the trial-focused, client-centered practice he would go on to build.
After law school, Connor served as an Assistant District Attorney in the Trial Division of the Bronx District Attorney's Office, where he prosecuted a caseload of more than 100 criminal matters, including violent felonies and misdemeanors, trying multiple cases to verdict and securing numerous indictments on serious felony charges. He was also appointed as a Special Prosecutor to the Manhattan District Attorney's Office. This early trial experience gave him a strong courtroom foundation that would later shape his approach to civil litigation.
Connor then transitioned into civil practice, joining Adler Cohen Harvey Wakeman & Guekguezian, LLP, as a litigation attorney focused on complex civil litigation and medical malpractice defense, representing hospitals, physicians, healthcare professionals, insurance companies, and private business entities in lawsuits throughout Massachusetts. Seeking to represent injured individuals rather than institutional defendants, he moved into plaintiff-side personal injury work as a trial attorney at Morgan & Morgan, P.A. — the largest personal injury law firm in the United States — where he spent five years representing clients whose lives had been changed by serious accidents and negligence. His practice there spanned catastrophic car and trucking accident cases, medical malpractice claims, defective product litigation, and wrongful death cases.
In January 2026, Connor joined Brooks Law Firm as a Partner and Head of the Personal Injury Department, bringing his trial experience and plaintiff-focused approach to the firm's personal injury and medical malpractice practice. In this role, he oversees the department's overall litigation strategy and case development, working to ensure that every personal injury and medical malpractice matter is handled thoughtfully, consistently, and with trial readiness in mind from the outset — an approach he believes leads to stronger settlements and, when necessary, stronger results at trial. Over the past two years of his career, Attorney Gilbert has recovered more than $10 million on behalf of clients, including a $5 million medical malpractice recovery, a $1 million medical malpractice recovery, and a $912,500 motor vehicle accident recovery.
Connor is admitted to practice law in Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New York, New Jersey, and Kentucky, as well as before the U.S. District Court for the District of Massachusetts, the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Kentucky, and the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of New York. Under his leadership, Brooks Law Firm's Personal Injury Department continues to provide dedicated, trial-ready representation to clients facing some of the most serious and challenging circumstances of their lives — from catastrophic injuries and medical malpractice to motor vehicle accidents throughout Massachusetts and New Hampshire.
