I represent only Workers - never Employers!
I have been fighting for workers’ rights for over 20 years. I have worked as a union organizer, and employee advocate and an attorney. I know how workers are treated in this country and I know that it is no simple task to secure basic rights. Employees have always had to fight for their rights for fair treatment.
I formerly worked as a staff attorney at the Massachusetts Unemployment appeals board (the Board of Review). I reviewed hundreds of cases and know many of the ins and outs and technicalities that make a difference between winning and losing an Unemployment Appeal.

Great Experience
Jill was very frank and straightforward and really helped me understand my situation and options.

Her office manager followed up with me and upon hearing my thoughts on hesitating to follow through with my appeal, tried to dumb down the process and explained in baby terms as if I didn’t already understand how it worked. Gave a good run down on the pricing but I wanted legal services not someone ...
I am very sorry that this person did not find it helpful to talk to my office manager (I, the lawyer, never talked to her as she did not want to pursue her appeal). We try to be helpful and explain the complicated legal process in terms that will make sense to people; most people find this to be very helpful. Unfortunately for this person, my office manager seems to have explained it in too simple of terms for her liking, and for that I apologize.

Jill is an excellent, personable, thorough, and practical lawyer
Without hesitation, I recommend Jill. Jill was referred and recommended to me by another law firm as being a specialist with unemployment cases. I am 100% satisfied with Jill's impressive services. She is personable but also efficient & effective with outlining strategies and explaining the process. ...

Worth every penny!
Attorney Jill Havens is extremely professional and very knowledgeable. She explained the entire process and was able to make a stressful situation look hopeful. She prepped me for the appeal process and went through every ‘what if’ I could come up with. I am a nervous speaker and even I felt comforta...
