I worked with Ben twice. The first time, I explained my situation to him, and during the free consultation, he spent several hours with me and helped me figure out how to solve my problem on my own, and didn't charge me a dollar! My case concerned an issue that happened 9 years ago and reared its ugly head. Ben was not only extremely responsive when I called, he basically talked me off the ledge. I thought my career was over and I wanted to give up fighting. Ben was recommended to me by a friend that used him in a similar cas...e. I called him the same day and when he got back to me (before I even hired him) he wanted me to explain the entire situation. Ben was very compassionate about my feelings, as I was an emotional wreck. Ben encouraged me and talked to me about a few options that I had. Shortly after that I hired him and he got to work immediately. He talked to me about certain things to use to strengthen my case....things I would have never thought to provide. Any time after that if I thought of anything that may help I would call him to ask and if he didn’t answer he would call me back almost immediately. We exchanged email quite often and he always provided me with updates. Before the trial I met with Ben to go over everything and he provided me with many questions that he was going to ask as well as questions that the prosecution might ask. Even though my issues took over a year to resolve (It was out of Ben’s hands), Ben was with me every step of the way and provided positive and encouraging feedback even when I was down. There was many times when I sent him an email he could tell I was down and he would call to remind me of what a good case we had and reiterate all the positive things we had going in our case. During the review of my case Ben fought hard for me that day. The prosecution really had nothing to say. She asked me clarifying questions, but never fought anything because Ben covered it all so well. As some of the other reviews stated, although we met under terrible circumstances I really gained a friend in the process. He is thoughtful, incredibly helpful, and very supportive.
