Saved my career

I honestly can’t begin to describe how incredibly thankful I am for Ben. I was wrongly fired by a company in which I didn’t even have a blemish on my record in 4 years. I had given 60-80 hours a week to this company and always tried to help with picking up shifts if they were in a bind. I was just ...going to let it go, knowing I could easily get a job somewhere else in that field, especially considering the recent rumors surrounding the company were not of a company I’d want to even be employed by anyway. But when I found out that my termination had jeopardized my chance to achieve my dream career, I had to take steps to remediate the situation. I had no idea what to do so I googled local lawyers, saw the high ratings for Gordon Law Group, sent a consultation message, and was contacted by Ben that very day. Ben could’ve easily gone the money route and built a case to get both of us paid, but instead he had my well-being in mind and gave me advice that literally saved my career. As nice as it would’ve been to get some compensation, Ben advised me to look at the bigger picture. A month after taking Ben’s advice, a new opportunity arose that was even better than the first. And because I took Ben’s advice instead of fighting for money, I’m now working my dream job. All this to say, Ben isn’t only a good lawyer, he has the well-being of his client in mind as well, which honestly, is a rare trait in successful lawyers. I’m incredibly grateful that Ben was the lawyer that contacted me that day, and I truly owe the success of my career to him.

A lawyer with a passion to help people

When I was laid off by my formal employer in ways that I felt unfair and unjust, I contacted Ben to explore my options. As I started to explain the situation, Ben was able to very quickly grasp the key dimensions of my case. He educated me on the relevant laws and legal framework and based on which t...he different options I could pursue. Through the conversations, I found Ben both very knowledgeable and very trustworthy. Unlike many other lawyers I met before, he seems to care genuinely the clients' interest and well-being. My decision to detain Ben to represent my case turned out to be a great decision. He was very responsive and kept me informed all the way. I believe he pushed as hard as possible for my interest and helped me to achieve the best possible result. I would highly recommend Ben for any employment related cases.

Fast talker, does little

I am 59, and I was pushed out of my IT job less than three weeks before I would have qualified for retirement benefits. I was given a confidential severance agreement and told I could discuss it only with an attorney or family member. Ben offered to do “everything” for a flat fee of $500. Turns out w...hat he meant by that was, he would spend half an hour redlining the agreement, and then he stopped returning my calls and emails. He didn’t speak to me as a client; he ghosted me as if I were a Tinder date! In my opinion, his behavior was completely unprofessional.

Avvo Rating

Our Rating is calculated using information the lawyer has included on their profile in addition to the information we collect from state bar associations and other organizations that license legal professionals. Attorneys who claim their profiles and provide Avvo with more information tend to have a higher rating than those who do not.

What determines Avvo Rating?
  • Experience & background Years licensed, work experience, education
  • Legal community recognition Peer endorsements, associations, awards
  • Legal thought leadership Publications, speaking engagements
  • Discipline Disciplinary information may not be comprehensive, or updated. We recommend that you always check a lawyer's disciplinary status with their respective state bar association before hiring them.
