My case certainly wasn't anything big as far as criminal standards are concerned but it was obviously important to me and of course something that would effect my life. I've had some experience with lawyers in the past and they want to make money so they focus on the big cases that will produce the m...ost yield. I didn't find this was the case with Irvin, from the beginning he was sure to be involved listening to all of my side of the story, reading through the case and was always responsive when I reached out with a question or anything I thought of after speaking with him initially. When I first hired him he even came by and met me at the scene in order to get a proper look at the damage and to take pictures that could later be used in court. Also I've had experiences before where the lawyer doesn't mind dragging out a case and getting the most bang for his buck on the time. Irvin was not like that, I'm not a rich person and he was willing to do his best to end the case as fast as possible so that the case didn't drag on and cost higher fees. A note for anyone that may be involved in a case at Brighton district court I noticed that he knew many of the court personnel and had spoken to the ADA at the court before hand as well. I think it's an extra benefit that he's a person with good relations at this court, when he's defending your case he would be seen as a straight shooter who's known to the court rather than just another lawyer off the street defending someone who they see as a criminal. I would hope I never need to, but should the need ever arise that I would need another attorney I would not hesitate to reach out to Irvin again.

Irvin Rakhlin is the second attorney I hired to handle my criminal case. My first attorney was quite incompetent and passive. Irvin's style is not passive, but assertive. I was unexpectedly involved in a criminal case. As a student and a non-US citizen, my situation is even more complicated and I had no idea what I’m going to face. Irv Rakhlin helped my husband through a very challenging and frustrating assault case that dragged on for many months in the Boston court system. I hired Irv in an effort to be granted a hardship license after my second OUI offense. I was originally going to go myself--THANK GOD I did not. From start to finish Irv was a master of his craft and had clearly been through the process many times. Irv was always on top of making sure I was getting m...y necessary documents together and putting together a package that would afford me the best chance of regaining my driver's license. I called him literally weeks before my hearing date & he was able to have the date moved to allow more time for preparation; something I can't even begin to imagine doing as there is seemingly no one available by phone at the RMV Board of Apeals. After the hearing (a very emotional experience) I was 95% sure I would not be granted my license based on the reaction of one of the 3 board members; Irv was always positive and kept reminding me that a 2-1 vote was all that was needed. Long story short, Irv called me about 1 week after the hearing to inform me that I had been granted my license. It was as if a weight was lifted off my shoulders. I was able to drive after 38 months without a license. I would STRONGLY recommend Irv' s services to anyone in need. His knowledge, professionalism, attitude & demeanour will help you no matter what you are facing. His fees are quite reasonable given the results he generated, I see it as money VERY WELL SPENT. I will always be thankful for his services & never forget what an amazing job he did at the 11th hour taking on my case and getting the desired result.
