I am a high level professional and my job requires federal licensing every few years, very much like the recertifications that doctors and nurses go through. I am not from Massachusetts, but upon visiting Boston, through a party, I was with people I didn’t know well, and long story short, I was arres...ted for possession of illegal drugs (that belonged to those people), as well as my own prescription high blood pressure medications because I didn’t have the bottle for it. Though I would have probably been ok if I had been tried AND even found guilty, it would have required some kind of probation or remediation required for my license. Clearly I wanted this to be wiped away, as if it never happened. And that’s exactly what happened. This recommendation is in reference to Irvin Rakhlin. Not being from Massachusetts, I didn’t have any resources that would lead me to a good attorney, so I used the internet and did my due diligence. I talked to 8 or 9 different attorneys, and each for about 1 or 1 ½ hours in my vetting process. During my first conversation with Irv, he wasn’t the warmest, and told me I was rambling and needed to get more to the point. He did sound confident, though he never over-sold me on my situation (spoiler alert, he under-sold me). He said getting off scot-free would be difficult even though I have clean legal record and have lead an exemplary life. The key reason that I chose Irv was that he said something that none of the other attorneys said. He mentioned there was a recent law change that would allow me to achieve the eradication of this arrest. He laid out the plan, though I wish he would have been a little slower and more patient, as I have no familiarity with the legal system, but being a smart guy, I understood the main points. None of the other attorneys mentioned this option, and I think it’s something they would have mentioned in trying to earn my business (not sure if they’re unaware, or if they didn’t want to reveal a trade secret or what it was). So Irv was my choice on the basis of his strategy. Here are the qualities that make Irv Rakhlin an excellent attorney and person. Irv is tough and personable. He’s knowledgeable and adaptable. He goes beyond the call of duty, and I have come to think of him as a friend. I was arrested in a small county about 2 hours from Boston. Probably no attorney has a working relationship with the DA or judges in this county, because it’s too small, too far, and irrelevant for a major attorney. Despite this, Irv was able to forge a good working relationship with the DAs and judges. It’s essential for an attorney to be trust-worthy and reliable and even liked by the DA and judges. As I found out, it’s not an adversarial relationship. It’s a friendly negotiation. Over the course of 3 court dates, Irv always had key intel, even when there were visiting/temporary judges and DAs (as this was over the holidays). Despite probably never having prior working relationships with these people, Irv was able to tell me how a judge would likely react to a certain circumstance based on that judge’s personal family history. Even when there was a temporary DA, Irv was able to do what was necessary. Also Irv is extremely adaptable. I was not able to attend the 2nd date. I made plans to fly and I was under the impression that I would be there on the 2nd date. As the court session began, I was delayed in the airport, but still told Irv that I would be there shortly (but I was not ever able to get there in time). This put Irv in a VERY bad situation. Up to the very last second, Irv had been under the impression that I would be there, but Irv was able to do what he does and got me an extension without the court being upset with me. Though Irv was upset at me, and rightfully so. I called Irv in a last minute panic literally an hour before I was due in court and he told me not to worry and that he would meet me at the courthouse. When I arrived he warmly introduced himself and explained how the process worked, told me my options and the possible outcomes. The whole ordeal was... extremely scary and overwhelming but Irv did an amazing job at making me feel assured and comfortable. He did an incredible job in the courtroom as well and ended up getting my case dismissed and off my record. I will look to him for any further legal council and would absolutely recommend him to anyone seeking legal help.

I was told that Attorney Rakhlin was one of the best defense attorneys in Boston and he proved to be. I was also told when looking for a defense attorney to find someone who had the following traits: negotiating skills, courtroom demeanor, perseverance, analytical skills, knowledge of the law, integ...rity, communication skills, research skills, understanding of the court system, and care for the client (ie., understanding the clients needs). On each of these skills, I would give Attorney Rakhlin a perfect ten. As described below, his results were fantastic as well. My situation was that after going through a tough time in my life, over the course of many months, I ended up with six outstanding cases that were brought against me. Incredibly, after much work and negotiation with the court system, Attorney Rakhlin was able to get my cases reduced to a mere pre-trial probation of nine months (which he was later able to negotiate down to six months). When I later talked to other attorneys, they told me that with as many cases that I had outstanding (again six in total) that it is very rare to get solely a pre-trial probation for that short period of time. This reinforced the great skills and job Attorney Rakhlin was able to do for me. Below I further elaborate on some more (not all) specific examples with short bullet points of why you should use his services: - While sitting in the courtroom and waiting for my case to be called, I was able to see other attorneys present their cases before mine was called. It was clear to me that Attorney Rakhlin's skills were the best of those attorneys that I saw on those days I sat in court. - I was able to notice the close relationship and respect that Attorney Rakhlin had with the district attorneys. I feel that they trusted he was out to do the right thing in the court system. That went along way in having my cases resolved as I described above. - His client service was incredible. Any time I contacted him, he either picked up the phone right away or got back to me within minutes (even if he was in court when I contacted him he would text me back within minutes). - When we were walking through the courthouse together it was amazing how he seemed to know everyone. This allowed him to take care of things very efficiently and effectively. I have already discussed how we was able to get my cases resolved in an incredible fashion and against all odds, but his amazing work did not stop there. - After these cases were dismissed, I wanted to have them sealed ASAP, as well, in case any employer that I was interviewing with used a more thorough background check. Attorney Rakhlin was able to get these records sealed only two months after the cases were dismissed. Other lawyers stated that this too was an incredibly short time frame. For the reasons stated above, I sincerely recommend, over any other lawyer that I have seen, Attorney Rakhlin's services.
