I never thought I would need an attorney to defend me until I found myself involved in a serious legal issue. Irv was one of the lawyers we had contact to consult for some help with a temporary Harassment Prevention Order and we hired him to represent us at the hearing for the extension. He was very helpful even before being hired and had extensive familiarity with the court we were in as well as this type ...of case. He came prepared to the hearing and we had a favorable outcome. He also represented us for a supposed "violation" of the HPO. I will say that his rates are higher than other attorneys that we had spoken to, however, he did a bit of extra work in our case as well. We did need a magistrate hearing date moved, and he was able to get that moved for us. Overall, he was excellent and we ended up with a positive result.

I consulted with Atty Rakhlin due to some issues going on in my family that resulted in restraining orders being issued against my parents and myself under false pretenses. He even went out of his way to check in with me later in the day after the hearings to see how everything went and to see how I was doing....I was beyond touched! Not only had he gone above and beyond the initial consultation for my case and provided great advice, but his checking in to see how I was doing was something he really *didn't* need to do...but he did anyway...that just goes to show how Atty Rakhlin really cares about his clients and potential clients. He isn't one of those attorneys that will just take your money and go to court with you to sue anyone for anything, nor is he an attorney that will represent you only to never be heard from after services have been rendered. Atty Rakhlin truly is a good person with a good heart and it's clear to see that he has passion for what he does. If I had the funds at time of consultation, I would've hired him in a heartbeat to represent me at my restraining order hearing; however, living paycheck to paycheck did not make that possible, yet Atty Rakhlin still went above and beyond to help me in my situation. I absolutely will consult with and hire Atty Rakhlin in the event I need to retain counsel in the future and will *definitely* be referring anyone I know of that needs to consult and/or retain counsel to Atty Rakhlin. I can't thank him enough for how helpful he has been over the past week!!!

It's my first time needs a laywer for a serious but false charge. As a non-US citizen, this situation is even more frustrating, confusing and I am under LOTS of pressure.
