Professional, Thorough, and Supportive Representation

I had a positive experience working with this attorney on a separation agreement. Kate was professional, attentive, and thorough throughout the process. She clearly explained my rights, reviewed all details carefully, and ensured I understood every aspect of the agreement. Additionally, she was res...ponsive to my questions and provided knowledgeable guidance during a difficult time. I felt supported and informed from start to finish and would highly recommend her services.

Unprofessional and Dismissive Behavior During Scheduling Call

I had a free 30-minute consultation with this attorney and later called to schedule a paid consultation, providing background information in advance. Instead of confirming, the attorney called back and immediately accused me of trying to get free legal advice. When I explained this wasn’t my intentio...n, and I was not expecting any action until the paid consult, I was cut off and told, “but you did.” When I said, “I feel uncomfortable moving forward if you don’t trust me as a client,” she responded skeptically, “Well, I guess if you say you weren’t seeking legal advice.” This felt dismissive and condescending. Then she kept bringing it up again. Because of this interaction, I decided to cancel the consultation and seek support elsewhere. I also wonder if her response was influenced by my disclosure of mental health conditions. I’m sharing this to help others, especially those in vulnerable situations, make an informed decision when choosing legal representation.

Helpful, thorough and empathetic

I had a consultation with Kate regarding an unemployment claim. She was very helpful in going through my documents, selecting what was relevant and what was irrelevant to my case, and helping me formulate an argument that supported my claims, all while adhering to the law. She was also professional a...nd empathetic to my circumstances and helped to lessen my anxiety about the entire process. I would recommend her, absolutely.

Caring Attorney That Gets The Job Done

I hired Kate Fitzpatrick for legal consulting on a separation agreement my employer had offered me as well as for guidance on my subsequent filing for unemployment. I'm pleased to say that the outcome was successful. Kate was very professional in our interactions and was always well prepared to d...iscuss my case. I was amazed at her attention to detail surrounding my case. Her attention made me feel certain that I mattered and that I would be properly represented. I also really appreciated how flexible she was about meeting thru Google Hangouts rather than requiring a face to face meeting at her office. Finally, her ability to empathize and advocate for me, made me feel comfortable working with her and sure that she would be a good attorney to have in my corner should my case have needed to go to litigation.

I would recommend her highly.

Avvo Rating

Our Rating is calculated using information the lawyer has included on their profile in addition to the information we collect from state bar associations and other organizations that license legal professionals. What determines Avvo Rating?
  • Experience & background Years licensed, work experience, education
  • Legal community recognition Peer endorsements, associations, awards
  • Legal thought leadership Publications, speaking engagements
  • Discipline Disciplinary information may not be comprehensive, or updated. We recommend that you always check a lawyer's disciplinary status with their respective state bar association before hiring them.
