Kate J. Fitzpatrick

Kate Fitzpatrick is the founder of Doorways Employment Law, LLC (). She routinely represents clients in severance agreement matters and in wage, commissions, discrimination, retaliation, sexual harassment, and family or medical leave cases, as well as with noncompetition agreements, unemployment, and other matters. She also provides strategic legal counseling to individuals during difficult times at work, including as to performance reviews, performance improvement plans, and planning for leave or separation.

In addition, she provides practical day-to-day advice and counseling to employers on a broad range of employment issues, including with respect to leaves of absence, accommodations, performance management, compensation, and wage issues, and with respect to employment policies, handbooks, and audits.

Fitzpatrick has served as a legal aid attorney, an Assistant Attorney General with the Massachusetts Attorney General's Office, and a Joshua A. Guberman Teaching Fellow and Lecturer in Legal Studies at Brandeis University. She is a graduate of Georgetown University and Northeastern University School of Law, and a member of the Massachusetts Bar Association and the Massachusetts Employment Lawyers Association.
