After extensively researching traffic lawyers, I decided to hire Ms. Mucklestone to represent me in a traffic matter (citation related to an accident). Even though I procrastinated and waited until the court date was looming, her office was eager to help.
Once I handed over all the pertinent information, I did nothing else. Her office kept me informed and was pleasant in all communications. I quickly got word that my ticket had been dismissed in court and nothing further was needed from me. Problems never get solved this easily. Especially when an attorney is involved. Or so I thought. I gave Jeannie a copy of my ticket (speeding in a school zone), and the next thing I knew I received a letter from her stating that the case had been dismissed with no further action required of me. That easy. Really. Whew, my insurance rates remain static and I'm really careful along that stretch of road!

Jeannie seems to get great reviews from most people, so my review may seem unreasonably negative, however: -
1) She did not win for me (had that been the only issue I just would not have bothered writing this review). 2) She did not take notice of what I believe was significant information in my case & effectively deprived me of the opportunity of making a better job of it by representing myself. I believe I have reasonable expectations of traffic attorneys. I know the fee does not buy much of their time. They are only going to take a procedural approach, they are not going research and present a complicated case. Knowing that, I made it clear to Jeannie and her team that I had something I wanted to present to the court myself. Apparently Jeannie's tactics involve a whole lot of postponement and rescheduling, but when it came to the crunch, if all else had failed, I wanted to be in court and I wanted the opportunity to present my own case. After being assured by Jeannie , several times , that I would not be needed in court, I learned that my case had been heard and that I had been found guilty in my absence. I obtained a recording of the hearing and it was clear that the lawyer sent by Jeannie to represent me had nothing significant to say on my behalf. Jeannie may be great at the procedural game, but ultimately failed to act in my best interest.

Lawyer's Comment: 1. Gary's 17mph over the limit speeding ticket was amended to a nonmoving violation that will never appear on his driving record.
2. Gary's case was never postponed or delayed.
3. It was my opinion that because the officer said that Gary admitted to going 45mph in a 35mph, which is admitted into evidence against him, his case would have been found committed as a speeding ticket, would have gone on his driving record and would raise his insurance rates.
4. My firm was successful at keeping this off his driving record.

It's nice to have one thing in life I can always count on and that's Jeannie Mucklestone. I know if I get a traffic infraction all I have to do is visit her web site, provide minimal information, pay a very reasonable fee and then just wait to be informed my case was dismissed. This has been my experience not once but several times! Furthermore, I have referred countless friends and business associates to Jeannie and they always report back to me with the same result of case dismissed. What's amusing is I end up looking good just for referring people to Jeannie when she is truly the one who deserves all of the credit. It's also far less costly to typically pay only slightly more than the speeding ticket fine to have Jeannie successfully defend you than it is to pay substantially higher insurance rates for years which makes retaining Jeannie Mucklestone a virtual no brainer decision.

Jeannie P Mucklestone and her staff were excellent all around. After months and months of delays due to the local courts being backed up, they were able to get my infraction completely dismissed!
I got dinged with an unfair ticket, but I've been around long enough to know that the judge usually sides with the officer if there's a disagreement and no proof to back it up. The ticket, plus court fees and the points on my license were too much to risk going into court by myself. I did a little web research and found Ms. Mucklestone's information, then gave her office a ring. They set everything up, I had to do very little myself, and her flat rate was WAY less than what the entire situation would have cost me if things didn't go my way. I have already recommended her to a few of the guys on my hockey team who have also been getting tagged with unfair tickets. I hired Jeannie Mucklestone to defend me in a speeding ticket case. She not only got the charge dismissed, she also talked to the court when they lost my paperwork and said I never responded within the allotted time, and got my right to a hearing reinstated.

I literally heard about Jeannie from three different people inside of a week after telling my story of getting two traffic tickets on the infamous Ellensburg to Yakima freeeway within three days after 20 years of no tickets. And one of the citations was such an arcane law (pulling in the left lane when you see a state trooper on the side of the road)-- that I was clearly just filling the state coffers. That made me mad so I called Jeannie and hired her. I was just hoping she could help me with the one "bogus" and rediculous ticket - and frankly wasn't holding my breath...well, she won both cases. Anonymous Comment: "It hurt my feelings"? Give me a break. You fail to mention results or anything important - Did she win your case? Did you say anything incriminating to the officer? What was the situation and outcome? Where and what was the citation?
She is one of the most knowledgeable lawyers I've worked with. For an objective review, look at the facts such as her success ratio; not the whining from an overly sensitive crybaby.

After hearing good reviews on this attorney, and having received my first ever speeding ticket, I was anxious to have Ms. Mucklestone represent me in court. With a clean driving record, I was repeatedly assured by the girl answering the phone of their 95% success rate in having tickets dismissed. I was confident!
The process of having emails and phone calls returned was very bad with this practice. Not once did Ms. Mucklestone ever call me personally, causing me to believe her emails were auto-generated replies mostly. I definitely felt like a number here. In the end, my case wasn't dismissed ultimately wound up on my record. Considering this purported 95% success rate they have, I was a little surprised I fell in the 5% of cases they don't win, considering as I said earlier, the immaculate driving record. I was not impressed. Wouldn't do it again. Turns out Ms. Mucklestone didn't even represent me in court. Her associate did. It certainly would've been nice to know my case was being passed along beforehand.

Anonymous Comment: I am personally familiar with Ms. Mucklestone, her practice, and her success rate. She is the traffic lawyer that is asked when traffic problems arise because of her success rate and knowledge in this area. Your record (horrible or spotless) has no bearing on defending your case. Where you got your ticket and what you said to the police officer matter the most. Did you contact her to tell her this or just post it anonymously so that she will have no way of contacting you?

Anonymous Comment: The real problem is that Jeannie is getting too "famous" and a prosecutor is more likely to appear knowing that she is representing the defense. That's probably why she's starting to use associates (she used an associate for my case, but my ticket was dismissed). Though Jeannie has gotten at least three of my tickets dismissed, and I respect her skills, I can definitely agree with the "lack of communication" issue. Frankly, she gets so much business I guess it's gotten to the point where she doesn't have to respond to people cause the business will keep coming. I wish Avvo would put up something like a win/loss record for each attorney (isn't all this stuff public info?) so we could just all see for ourselves.

There are not enough superlatives in the dictionary to describe how well Jeannie handled the defense on my case. In March 2006 I was arrested for a major traffic infraction. My initial thought was to bite the bullet and take whatever punishment the State saw fit but my wife suggested that I hire an Attorney to protect my rights.
Over a period of 14 months Jeannie was tenacious in defending my rights. She left no legal stone un-turned. After numerous court appearences and several motions Jeannie was able to convince the State to amend the charges to a much lesser offense. I met Jeannie Mucklestone about 6 years ago, through a referral from another lawyer that I knew. That was the best decision that I made. Since knowing Jeannie, I've had every traffic violation I've received either dismissed, or reduced to such a level that it had no impact on my driving record. My violations spanned quite a range, and I was amazed at the results. Moreover, I recommended that the employees in my construction firm use her services, and she subsequently defended many of my staff with the same successful results. Keeping driving records as clean as possible for employees that are on the road all day is very important, and she is the best I know at this. Jeannie has represented my wife on four different traffic violations in Shoreline District Court. Some of the Shoreline Traffic Officers took the infractions personally and went out of their way to insure the citations stuck. One Officer even talked a prosecutor into prosecuting the speeding ticket (12 MPH over). One Shoreline Traffic Sgt wrote his troops an official department memo instructing them to write my wife for "every infraction they saw her commit". Needless to say, they put a big target on my wife. Without Jeannie's help, my wife (a soccer mom) would have continued to be a target in the community she lives. Thanks to Jeannie, all the citations were dismissed. Based on advice from friends, I hired Jeannie Mucklestone to handle a traffic ticket for me. I mailed her the details of the case and a copy of my car registration along with a check. I called about a week later to discuss the case with her and see if she needed any additional information. She was abrupt with me on the phone, said she didn't need any info, and that the court date was a month later so I shouldn't worry. She said I did not need to attend the hearing.
My next contact with her was the day of the hearing when she a left a voice message on my cell phone saying that she had some questions for me about the case and that I needed to return her call in the next 10 minutes. Unfortunately, I did not receive her call until about 45 minutes later. When I did return her call, the hearing was over. To her credit, she had gotten a deferred finding, but I was quite unhappy with her level of professional behavior. I received a speeding ticket in Redmond and the cop was having a REALLY bad day. On top of the speeding ticket, he wrote me up for insurance AND expired license. The ticket was over $1000. Jeannie took my case, which involved repeated visits (called continuations) to the court over a period of a year. She got everything thrown out. In addition to this particular case, she has gotten three or four other tickets of mine dismissed over the years.
