Liya Djamilova

Just had an absurdly bad experience with this office, even though Liya was recommended to me by some mutual relations her office stuff have done their very best to completely destroy Liya's image and reputation as a trusted and responsible attorney. A couple weeks ago I reached out to her office and... was taken care of by Andrea, an assistant, I directly and very clearly stated that I would like to have an in person consultation with Liya regarding my case and was assured that I will have a consultation with Liya Djamilova in person. I also clearly stated my situation and that it is a time sensitive matter. I was requested to send the documents to Andrea's email, which I did. I was charged for the consultation and it was scheduled. I was also strictly asked not to be late and if I was late more than 10 minutes, I would need to reschedule and pay the same amount for a consultation again, which is quite an absurd requirement. On the day of the consultation, 1 hour before the consultation I received a text message stating that they didn't receive my documents. It turned out that Andrea (assistant) never found the documents or never even cared to forward them to whoever is responsible, even though I did send it and I have a solid proof of that. By the way, conveniently, they stated that Andrea is out of office. I arrived 10 minutes before the scheduled time and first thing I was told was that the attorney is not going to be present today! That the assistant will lead my consultation, which is a clear fraud and I was never notified about that. More over, the attorney that was assigned to my consultation today, is Danielle Richardson (who I've never even heard of before, her name was never even mentioned to me during the whole process), not Liya Djamilova as assured before and as was requested. This is a straight fraud or scam and completely misleading and not in line with what I paid for or what I was assured about. Dan, the office manager, came in to play and did his super best to completely destroy any possible chance for a peaceful resolution of this very very shady situation. When I told him the whole story and said that Andrea assured me on the phone that I will be having consultation with Liya Djamilova in person, Dan simply told me that he doesn't believe me and that I'm lying, which is absolutely a great move from an assistant of an attorney and absolutely untrue. No solution was offered except for a refund, I've never even seen Liya Djamilova or even given a chance to talk about this outrageous situation that happened in a business that is run under her name - "Law office of Liya Djamilova". More over none of the people present in the office seemed to have any clue of what is happening and said that they have no ways of contacting Liya Djamilova directly, when I requested to speak to her about this matter. Bottom line: Incredibly disrespectful treatment and disregard to client's time and case, absolute confusion and mess in the office, no clear communication and order whatsoever and a total total shame to represent people's lives and situations in the face of the law.

At the end of our cooperation we got the expected result of the trial, in which I see not only the professionalism and experience of Liya and her office, but also the attitude towards the defendant, not as a source of funding, but as a person for whom she genuinely cares. A man of action, not chatter and empty promises.

After consulting more than three immigration lawyers, we decided to hire Liya, for her knowledge and straightforwardness, as it was mentioned before (great quality, right?!). She explained us the procedure, prepared all the paperwork, and made sure that we start the process as soon as possible. Commu...nication with her and her team was easy, positive, with quick replies each time. Our application(s) was processed within the timeframe that Liya predicted, with an affirmative outcome. We would definitely recommend her to anyone, and hire again if needed. She’s a great attorney!
