This is our true experience with Mr. Mamola: My wife and I are in our early 60's. We hired him to set up a Living Trust to protect our house from Probate. We met with him and prepared the Trust. We felt very confident and I do believe he is a very smart guy. But...his "Package" included the transfer our house into the Trust Name. This was a major factor for us in using an Attorney. Eight months later I checked the Clerk/Recorder's website and saw it was NOT Done. Following numerous attempts to contact him (No Response), he finally emailed; told me the Clerk/Recorder was several months behind in postings. I checked with them and that was NOT TRUE! I tried to contact him many more times to get this done for us. He would not return emails or phone calls. Eventually he did send us an email saying he would check the Clerk's Office and let me know. That was the last response I received from him despite several more attempts to contact him. Nearly FOUR WEEKS later, I downloaded the form from the OC.GOV website and, with help from the Clerk/Recorder's Office people, prepared and filed it myself (total cost $6.00).
We paid this man a LOT of money for a service which he did not fully perform - and then did not even have the courtesy to return my calls or emails. It was like after he got our money, he didn't want to be bothered with us and finish what we paid for. We were unprotected for nine months and, fortunately, nothing happened to us or our house would have gone into Probate.
I like the binder and documents he gave us, but could have generated the same documents with my $60 Willmaker Program. Without our house protected from Probate, there was little point to our Trust. Sorry, but for these reasons I will NEVER recommend him to anyone.

Mr. Mamola was nothing short of excellent. He assisted me with the formation of a corporation to provide asset protection for myself and my family, in the event of legal action against the business.

Low and behold, a short year later, my company was the subject of a frivolous lawsuit. Mr. Mamola assured me (correctly) that my family and I were safe from having our personal assets seized as a result. Thereafter, he developed an aggressive strategy of defending my company against the action. I must say that he was thorough and complete, and after a lengthy negotiation period with the opposing lawyer, Mr. Mamola was able to settle this case on my behalf for substantially less that the legal fees required to continue the fight -- not to mention the risk that always exists when you go to trial.

I can safely say that my family, my business, and myself have a lawyer for life in Mr. Sam Mamola.
