After a disastrous experience with another lawyer, I did my research and selected the law firm of Phillip Lemmons. After crafting a 3 pronged approach, Mr. David Chon, an attorney at the firm, was able to reverse almost all the damage caused by my first lawyer, and the law firm of Phillip Lemmons continues to represent me to this day. I am reminded of a sign that used to hang on the wall of my father's retail store: "Buy the best and cry once." With Mr. Lemmons and Mr. Chon, you can expect the best.
I have worked with Mr. Lemmons and his staff since 2004. It took he & his staff 7 long years to end an awful divorce situation due to the lack of support my ex-spouse. He & his staff were always there for me and helped me through a very difficult situation.

My Dads trust
Phillip Lemmons was my second attorney on this case. He took over and hit the ground running--unlike my previous attorney he knew what to do right from the start. Before hiring him I had lost hope of getting anything from my Dad's trust as my step-mother was taking everything. He helped me get a far better settlement that I thought possible. You should hire this guy.

Pricey consultation fee with an aggressive action plan then pawned off to a different attorney with no action.
I hired Mr. Lemmons because he sounded knowledgeable and aggressive. Only later to find out one of his colleagues would be handling my case instead. My divorce was dragged on by the attorney he pawned me off to. I was told I needed to refile for spousal support. Months later after 2 postponements and thousands of dollars later I was told days before hearing that because it was a short term marriage spousal support most likely won't be granted. Not only was it not granted, I didn't even get to see the judge. I was told to wait in the hallway! Over $12,000 and still no end in sight, I called his paralegal for an appointment with Mr. Lemmons to discuss my concerns. Instead I was transferred to my incompetent attorney who went on to belittle me, make excuses for why things were the way they were and then charged me for that call on top of that. My marriage was a short term marriage with no children. Not a complicating one.
I do NOT recommend Mr. Lemmons or his Firm. Beware!

Response from Phillip LemmonsMarch 23, 2011
Dear Wendy:
I am somewhat puzzled by your comments on this public forum. As your former lead attorney, I have personal and direct recollection of all the events that occurred in this matter. The comments I read here were so different from my recollection that I reviewed your file to see if I had missed something. The review confirms my initial recollection.
Our firm handles legal matters that stir up emotions. People don’t always treat each other with the respect and dignity they deserve. At times emotions can run so high facts get distorted and communication breaks down. That is why I have an open door policy to address client concerns free of charge. It was always my understanding that we performed according to your expectations. Apparently you felt otherwise; and I am sorry I wasn’t given the opportunity to address it with you earlier.
Wendy, this is the first time you have ever complained about our services or fees. You relieved us as counsel over six (6) months ago (to save money). At the time you had unresolved legal issues. If there is still work to be done, please consult independent counsel. If you have any questions or concerns about prior representation through our firm, my door remains open and you are welcome to call.
Sincerely,
Phil

"Phil is a tough opponent -- no two ways about it. He knows the law and always seeks the best result for his client, whether it's through negotiating or taking the matter to trial. I've tried cases against him, and he's thorough, creative and determined. His courtroom demeanor is impeccable: he knows the Rules of Evidence and is extremely well-spoken. I've watched him turn around more than one case, and he brings his "A" game to all of them. I respect Phil."
